I've created a few blue basses...
Gildaxe headless/lined fretless (NJ era) Steinberger carbon neck and gilded (etched silver leaf) Korina (nameless reference) custom bound body. (final finish by Pat Wilkins) Bartolini pu's/Aguilar 9v pre. Steinberger drop-D bridge/tuners.
Gildaxe '60s MIJ Decca ss bass converted to 34" scale w/Guild RI Darkstar pu & Hipshot KA bridge & Epi T-bird neck in relic'd Pelham blue nitro.
Gildaxe short-scale 5'r "Vette" (neck by Dan Ransom/SF - black fb markers are ebony)
Gildaxe Teiscobluebird with Epi Custom Shop T-bird neck in Pelham blue. (finish by Pat Wilkins)
mid '60s Teisco Del Rey with modded ebony lined fretless fb and Guild RI Darkstar pu.
'67 Watkins/WEM Rapier short-scale w/24 frets. (total resurrection)

My Dyna-Bass fiver is Frost Blue with matching headstock.
Several TB members owned it before me. It arrived on my doorstep around 10 years ago.

I bought this off a fellow TB'r on the classifieds, I'll be playing this one tommorow morning
I suppose its legal to use these pix (they were the seller's pix) since I'm not selling the bass!
Thus far I have not been able to capture the brilliance in the flame maple the way these do.

Honestly thats the first I've ever seen a Bongo that made me think - that's a nice looking bass ! PG removal goes a long way IME.
