If yours has the micro adjust bridge (for intonation) HANG ON TO IT. Those are impossible to find anywhere. If you can keep it stock or at least not make any permanent changes to the bass you'll be better off. I expect these basses to double in price over the next ten years, they're already getting very difficult to find in pristine condition.

Can't get your pic to show up on my iPad. Congrats on what I suspect is a beautiful bass. I've looked long and hard for another boner bass in black pearl burst but haven't found any, good to hear you scored one! Welcome to the club.

it does have the micro adjust bridge.i think most everything is stock except maybe the pick ups and knobs.. what pick ups were in them originally?

IIRC the plus basses all had Fender Lace Sensor pickups. The knobs should be knurled metal with a flat top and set screw. The push button should be white plastic and the toggle should have a black plastic cap.

Actually I don't know much about the Jazz bass, not sure if it came with Lace pups. As for the bridge, if you replace just dont loose the original one. I've looked everywhere and they are impossible to find.

GBass, I reposted as an attachment, so I hope it shows up now. Odd that from my home computer, the image would show, but from my iphone or work, it wouldn't... I got this from a fellow TB'er in the classifieds, and I am really loving it.

I see there has been some question as to whether the P-bass Plus Deluxe are truly considered "boners". The horn is definitely shorter than it is on a J or P-bass, and it does have the downsized body, which I really like as well. Either way, I'm thoroughly enjoying it!

Well changed the bridge to an old 80s bridge off of my ld yamaha bb450 that i put a BAII on so had this left ..going to gig with it tonight .I will have to get it set up pro wise to get the action a little lower .will be letting you know how it sounds. the string spacing is definitely batter for me.keeping the old bridge to keep it as close to original as possible.
