Borat Got a Beating!

the american attacking blokey can't have been that hard if Hugh flippin Laurie managed to fend him off :)

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

now if you'd have said Stephen Fry had reportedly beaten off some bloke in New York...

Didn't George Michael beat off some guy in LA? :hiding:

It think it is ridiculous how this man reacted. and should spend a night in the cells, or, do u have asbos in the US? and i dont think making fun of ppls cultures is funny, but this is not what he is doing. But i think plenty of ppl find ppl making fun of homosexuals is hilarious and no one does anything about it when it is just as bad as making fun of someone cos of their religion, race or nationality.

Oh yes he is - Borat is clearly making fun of Americans - portraying them as racist rednecks or uptight fundamental Christians!

The Lord Jesus Christ as my witness, if I ever see that pale Kraplakistanian in MY town, me 'n' the boys'll throw him in the back of the pickup and show him how we appreciate his funnyness. Git'r done.

And Gypsies, Dont forget the gypsies.

"Now Gypsie woman give me your tears."

At the end of the day. People said what they said on that movie/TV show because they thought it was only going to be shown on Kazhakstan telly.

Now their friends know how stupid they are as well.

Sacha didnt force anyone to say anything. They all said it themselves.

Yes he crossed the line a lot when making that movie. Does that make it unfunny? Racist? I for one dont think so.

It's funny. When I saw his movie, all the "adults" thought it was very stupid and over the top, but everybody born >1980 thought it was the funniest thing ever.

I think this is it - from people who have seen this kind of thing before - he is just aiming at easier and easier targets - Gee there are still rednecks in the US? - I never imagined! :p

Whereas the infantile nature of some of the humour appeals to a younger audience who would like to be able to get away with being this "naughty" in real life....

So we all know that kids love to shock adults with how gross they can be - Borat appeals to the "naughty child" in those who nowadays find themselves restricted by moral codes, PC ethics etc. etc.

Even though he puts strangers on, he was viciously assaulted and there's no justification for that. Punched repeatedly in the face is criminal and not just understandible reaction. I have problems with Borat's ridicule of people in their own domains but it's not up to people to play so loose with another person's life like that. Punching somone in the head (repeatedly) can kill.

Holy Crap!!!....I agree with Bruce. Quick, don't expand on the thought, you might ruin the moment.

To small minded people he is. But to anyone with half a brain, they'll know that it is such a small percentage of American's who are like this, and that there are people exactly the same in every country.

Personnaly, I enjoyed the film as a laugh, nothing to take seriously about it though. Especially the rodeo part :D
