Yeah, I tried to enhance their strongest characteristics, not by much. Mostly around the mid range. So for example I boosted the middle setting of the Silver Tube, and cut the middle setting of the Fat Tube to bring out that fat scooped sound. I also level matched the amps as well. I'm going to do some more samples and include default settings.
There's a ground lift switch which might help in the hardware settings. I haven't heard any major noises, but I have considered running my GTCore from a USB battery power supply, just to break that loop.
I had this issue on my windows PC, when USB audio was enabled in the mixer settings. Not sure if that is helpful for your MAC?
I installed the update to my core. The amps are amazing. My two favorites and my preamps from now on is the Fat Tube and the Dark Drv. At the beginning the Dark was too noisy, but after some tweeking I found to set it up that to my ears sound better that my B3K. And the Fat Tube by itself sounds amazing to my amp and to FOH.

Did you use distortion on the natural track?
I just got a UCX II interface myself, but it is still in the box. I just bought the GT1000, a few other effects and the UCX...good to get new toys, but bad to get them at the same time because you have to learn them all!

Didn't use a distortion block but I didn't push the gain up to 50-60. I like that grinding bass tone. My bass isn't set up for super clean studio tone. The string height is a bit lower so there's some string noise, clank, and grinding on the frets. The pickups are Dimarzio Model P which are pretty hot in the mid range. Also I'm pretty heavy handed in my playing style, and I'm a rock bass player. So all those things really help when I switch the distortion on or just natural growl and grind.
My UCX II is the last audio interface I'll be getting. It is an excellent interface. Even plugging the bass straight into the DI just sounds pristine. With the GT 1000/Core, it's a match made in heaven. That isn't hyperbole.

The upper left app is RME's Totalmix FX, and lower right is RME's DigiCheck metering app. I've created a aggregate device using Mac's Audio MIDI Setup app so I can use GT/Core and UCX II at the same time. GT 1000/Core has a reamping feature which is incredibly useful. I'm not super knowledgeable with the UCX II or GT, but I have ironed out all the issues around setting it up, so if you have any questions all good.

I actually deleted the patches as I was recording the samples. Didn't think to save them. I'll have a go at recreating them by this coming weekend and post the settings.
So- for some questions about the amp models here. I've been searching through YouTube, on the Boss site, in the manual, and elsewhere, and I can't seem to find a definitive answer to this:
For the new bass amp models that just dropped (and the ver 3 SVT model), do they have the 'unique to each model' parameters as in the GT-10B? I'm looking for the Ultra-Low, Ultra-High, and 3-way mid selector on the Concert, the added Presence control on the Super Flat, Bright switch on the Acoustic 360, the Enhance knob on the SWR... (no more Trace model, but maybe the Markbass has the VLE/VLF?) etc etc.
From what I'm looking at, it looks to be just the basic B/M/T tone controls + Presence, across the board on all amp models.
What about the mic position and blend function on the cabinets?
I'd love some insight from any of you that have done the update! Thanks

The amp models of the GT 1000/Core are not based on the GT 10B COSM amp models, although the naming conventions for the amps are the same or similar. The AIRD technology is different to the previous COSM technology. The AIRD Bass Amp settings are - Gain, SAG, Resonance, Bass, Middle, Treble, Presence, Bright, Gain Boost Switch. You have the option of a Parametric/Graphic EQ for further tone shaping. If that isn't enough, there's a Crossover to split your signal into high and low channels. The Output stage has a Parametric EQ too. The Speaker Simulator has - speaker type, mic type, mic position (in and out), mic distance(center to the side). You can load your own IR's also. You didn't have this problem before updating? More people are experiencing this ground loop since updating? I am a bit afraid to update because of this.....
Exactly, no ground loop before.
When I unplug the USB cable, no ground loop is audible, though. So in a gig or rehearsal situation, everything sounds fine.
Ok strange. You should tell Boss. That makes me insecure whether to update or not.
