They did a big update about a year ago, adding "Mastering FX," more Master Delay options, and (iirc) some mic options to the speaker sims.
Having worked with the Core for some time, I came to think the full size GT1000 would have been a better option. With the Core, you can end up with many extras in order to make it do what you want, the GT1000 ends up being more convenient. YMMVI have a full size GT for sale if anyone's looking to move up.
Hi everyone. I'm on a compressor GAS trail (again). I have the Becos Mini comp, but have been considering the Empress bass compressor. BUT, I have the core too. Has anyone had good experience with the Core's compressors? Which do you like, and how do any of them compare to other external compressors? What are your favorites?

I thought I didn't like the CORE compressors but after a few months with the hyper luminal I think I just don't need much compression. As soon as I start to notice it at all I leave it there.
I think in retrospect I enjoyed a light compression on either end of the chain rather than a a single "better" compressor up front.

Absolutely, the GTK is a great unit. I wound up with both, and needed to sell one. The Full sized moved first, so I'm going with the CORE. I already have it set up on a board with 2 X FS7's, and I'm very familiar with it, so it fills my needs.Having worked with the Core for some time, I came to think the full size GT1000 would have been a better option. When you wrote "I just wish the Core had a 3rd fx loop" I was going to mention the MS-3 but then I thought no, the MS-3 is hardly an 'experimenting tool' (vs the Core). Also, realize the 3 loops are always next to each other, cannot be placed freely/independent in the chain.Anyone used the Boss MS-3?

Something new and interesting from Boss. Its the Boss Gigcaster-8, which is a live audio streaming mixer that goes directly to YouTube, Facebook Live, Twitch, etc. Why I thought it is interesting is that it has the AIRD guitar and bass amps and effects from the GT 1000. If you’ve got a good online following, there’s going to be opportunities to play a lot more gigs through live streaming.

Looked at the parameter guide earlier, not only does it have most of the GT-1000 stuff in it, also vocal effects from their VE-series. Also has a touch-screen interface. Looks like a great unit for content creators, and the pricing is really competitive. There's also the Gigcaster 5, which has the same engine, but with fewer I/O options.
@MrDinsdale , I saw your post in the Capo thread but still cannot wrap my head around how the Core patch would look like for this setup. You put a send of the Core back into the input of the Core, would this not feedback? You have something smart going on here I just cannot visualize. Could you set up a patch with the editor or does the editor require a physical presence of the Core (I know you do not have one right now..)
I am really interested how this should work!
