Okay, simple setup..
Input: Bass, tuner, compressor (with the same setting I've used for probably the best part of a decade) into the GT.
Output: Mono jack output to DI, bass amp or mixer to IEM depending on situation.
In the System/global menus (can't remember where) there is a setting for Output with the default option of -10dB, set it to +4dB.
Then in the same menu area find INPUT LEVEL (gives you option of 3 bass separate inputs= settings for different basses),
reduce the input level to match the raised output level.
Typically it would be on "Bass 1" input
If you bass has a hot output, about -7dB input is a good start.
Then in the same menu area find INPUT LEVEL (gives you option of 3 bass separate inputs= settings for different basses),

I really don't know how the mixer to IEM system works, but I can find out.
The one thing I did find, is the manual, is that they recommend different levels depending on your target.
My question to that would be... (a) does the +4dB setting for recorder,mixer, or other include an IEM system as the ultimate destination and (b) does this always require a manual change or can you do it via the banks? I think I already know the answer to that last bit, but it doesn't hurt to ask hahahaha

So in a real world sense, I should pad with -10dB for amp playing and pad with +4dB when using the IEMs?
Also, the output from the compressor regulates the input to the GT - how should I deal with that?

Hi all... Delay question.
I've discovered how to do a momentary latch for effects, and I want to add a CTL3 latch with a slapback delay. What I've got is kinda lousy. I'm looking for that typical (for guitarists at any rate) delay that takes 1 note and duplicates it - like playing 2 notes I guess.
Does anyone have a patch available for this, or is anyone able to give me the settings for such a delay? I'd be most grateful for any assistance.

Right, me again. I've watched a terrific video by the Telsonator on YouTube about how to set up the Sound Hold function.
Very informative and very clearly outlined, but apparently I'm doing something fundamentally wrong. I can't seem to assign CTL4 (3rd party 2 switch) to the Hold function.
Is there a simple step-by-step? I'm pulling my hair out here. I've assigned a momentary delay without a hitch, but I seem to be flummoxed by the SH function.
BTW, I want to have thw SH as a momentary feature universally set to ctl4. I want that note hold function....really want it.

You can't use the system/global function to set to Sound Hold, It only allows generic effects blocks on/off.
For sound hold to work, the effect block (example FX2) needs to be 'on' all the time,
and just the Sound Hold function held on during the sound capture/hold.
Here is an example of settings
*********FX2****************
[FX-2: On/Off] = On
[FX-2 Select:] = SOUND HOLD
[SH: Hold] = Off
[SH: Rise Time] = 50
[SH: Effect Level] = 100
**********Assign 8***********
[On/Off] = On
[Target] = FX2: SH Hold
[Min] = 0
[Max] = 1
[Source] = CTL4 PDL
[Source Mode ] = Moment
[Act Rng Lo] = 0
[Act Rng Hi] = 127
To make Assign 8 do this globally, you can use the "Bulk Write" function in the GT-10B_FxFloorBoard editor.
On the FX2 and agai on the Assign 8 edit pages, press the "Bulk Write" button and select the patch range that you want the effect duplicated.
This will write to the User Patch range, the settings seen on that edit page.
Do it for Assign 8 and then again for FX2 after the settings have been done as required.

Now, anyone here.... Is there is way to save all the user patches but restore just one? I've messed up a "fretless" patch, and much to my disgust, I can't remember what I did.

Still trying to wrap my head around the pedal being used as a midi controller for my soon to arrive Markbass multiamp..It seems i can use the 1-2-3-4 and banks to change patches on the Markbass,, I may run an input so I can use the tuner,,,thats easy I think....It also seems that the expression pedal can be used at well...this would be a CC command and the channels would be a PC command.

The EXP pedal, EXP switch, ctl1, ctl2, and the external ctl3, ctl4 all can send cc# of your choice.

Nice! Thank you...about have it figured out..just need the amp...Going to be cool, as long as I like the amp..lol...not clearing off my major patches yet.
