Boss GT-10B (part 2)

Cool, you're well on the way now.
if you switch 'off' all the effects, it should be the same as 'bypass', from there setup the input and output levels,
have the output knob at about 12~2 o'clock position, and start with an 'initialised' patch with everything set to 'default' values.
You could check out other premade shared patches and see what settings others use, the factory GT-10B patches are all generally useless,
but learning to create your own patches and dialing in a tone is the way.
Some use the GT in manual mode like a stompbox pedal board, but I find that limiting and better to use patch mode,
I use the 4 patch pedals to have an array of tones from pedal 1 being generic/ordinary to pedal 4 being extreme.
then work your way through the Banks of 4 patches.

cool, thanks! i found a guy that uses this unit to play type o negative songs, which is really the only reason i bought it...so i could emulate peter steele's tone...he used a boss ds-1 (a boss metal zone will get you close), a super chorus and delay (DD-3)...i've also heard that he uses a bf-2, as well, and a graphic eq for the distortion, but you don't see the flanger or eq on any of his pedal boards...i've been messing around with it, and i think i'm giving my amp a little too much signal...it seems like it's losing volume somewhere...

is there a floorboard tutorial? i hit the channel merge thing and I can't get it to change back...and I was clicking on one of the effects and I didn't see that every time I clicked on it, it rearranged to order of the pedals behind it and changed them from one channel to another...??? also, can I remove pedals or effects, or do they just always stay on the screen and just turned on or off?? I'm technology dumb...even talkbass is like one of 5 or 6 things I even turn on my computer for...

You can't remove them, just turn them off.
There's no tutorial that I know of.

If using the GT-10BFxFloorBoard editor, from the SYSTEM menu button, (input & patch settings) select the "SYS NUM PEDAL CTL" and set it to TUNER.

Each time the same patch pedal is selected as the same patch you are on, the Tuner will toggle on.

If you are on an "Edit Page" just press the [X] in the top right corner of the edit page to close that page.
There is nothing to edit in the Channel Merge edit page anyway

Hey all,

just recently interested in GT-10B. Saw a used one within my budget at a local music store.

Don't know if this has been covered before... I wonder if anyone here still needs to use additional external effect(s) with GT-10B... (?)
