It is however also almost double the price.still waiting for a balanced XLR out Boss device.
Hotone Ampero 2 Stage (with capture) is blazing that trail.

I belive you can use return for stereo input.Unless I'm missing something, it seems that the unit has stereo outputs, there's only mono input. That sucks for someone like me who enjoys using Ric-O-Sound.
I've been reviewing the BOSS GX-10 for Bass Gear Magazine over the past 3 weeks, and I have to say it's a super fun, great sounding pedal. While the full review hasn't been published yet (but watch for it within the next couple weeks), here's a nice video demo I made of the Overtone octave up sound with some other processing:
I feel that! Unfortunately that's an editorial decision and I'm not aware of when that will go live. I'll mention the sale to the editor though!Hi Combinator,
Do you know when the review will be posted on Bass Gear Magazine? Currently there is a Black Friday sale for the GX-10, so I doubt whether to buy the GX-10 or not. Your review would help![]()
I was going to share it and forgot! Thanks for watching! I'm still loving mine and will be using it on a fun little gig Friday evening in fact. The review on BassGearMag is out ! Feels like a no brainer to buy the Gx-10

Great review, especially to showcase the range of effect options and the use of the interface. Maybe I’m an outlier, but I’m more curious as to its use as a complete rig replacement. Hearing how it’s amp simulations and IR patches stack up against other competition would be very relevant. I don’t think anyone doubts these Boss units for effects excellence but the bread and butter stuff is where it needs to prove itself. The review on BassGearMag is out ! As someone who is planning to buy a Stomp, I'd love to see a comparison video sometime.
I'm also intrigued. I've been amp less using a Stomp as my main (and only) stage/practice rig since Sept 2019 and it's definitely held up and done the job with aplomb and I still don't use but a small percentage of what it can do. Since I've had this one for awhile I've thought of buying a second one as a backup and have unsuccessfully bid on a couple used I've seen locally but they wanted more for them than I was prepared to pay for a "used" unit. If they ever come back down to $500 m/l (post-Christmas sale perhaps??)... So the GX-10 looks like it would not only make a great backup but could indeed make a great switch hitter option/replacement for the Stomp. An "unbiased" comparison video by someone fully familiar with both would be hugely helpful to get me to pull the trigger.Great review, especially to showcase the range of effect options and the use of the interface. Really, boss has provided bread and butter effects for many musicians for decades… they have nothing to prove in that department whatsoeverGreat review, especially to showcase the range of effect options and the use of the interface.
