BOSS ME 90B

Congrats!
I would like to ask you some specific questions if I may?
- Does it do gap-less switching between presets?
- Are the potentiometers secured to the face-plate or are they just 'sticking through'? (I zoomed in on pictures but couldn't tell..). It's a Boss, I cannot imagine them NOT being secured to the face-plate but..times change.
- Do you have a 5-er and can you check tuner speed for low B?
- How are the foot-switches, do they feel sturdy or are they wobbly and squeaky?
- Is the enhancer (FX2) very subtle or does if have big impact?
- Does the phones-output have plenty of power on tap?
Sorry for lot of question, I do not expect (immediate) answers to (all) my questions though

i'm not seeing much of an EQ section
most other multiFX devices offer graphic, para, HPF/LPF, etc.
kills it for me as a grab'n'go. unless i'm missing something.
and if you want the extended preamps, EQ is replaced.

So, in order:
1. Gapless - I will look into that.
2. They are secured to the face plate. I spent time "pondering" the knobs and they're solid.
3. I will check that - I usually tune on 12th fret harmonics so I can't tell you right now how the open B does.
4. Very sturdy. No side-to-side wiggle. They honestly feel like BOSS.
5. No idea - will check.
6. Plenty. I have a pair of power-hungry Sennheiser headphones and they sound nice and full.
The compressor thing - that's key. Very easy to kick in the Tony Levin thing.
So all in all would you recommend the purchase? Thank you
I refer to hapless switching. Not delay trails. I change presets often during a song and a gap (silence) is a deal breaker. I have Me50b and I can’t use the presets because of that. Only manual mode
Does the compressor also add a lot of lows? That’s the case with the X bass compressor in the GT1000, it’s adds a lot of lows which a compressor shouldn’t do. I am wondering if they use the same also in the ME90B?
Just tested. No gaps. Pretty much a seamless swap between presets. I’d happily use these mid-song and not expect anyone to notice.
In stomp and/or preset mode, are delay trails chopped when switching?
That was my exact thought too. What the heck is parallel processing?
“Parallel processing” means something specific in computer science but I think the complaint is that you can’t construct parallel signal paths, so you can’t mix an amped signal with a separate mod channel, etc.
Given I have never used PP before, I am thinking I can live without it. I would really like to try a modern multi board without having to be a software engineer to understand it. I almost draw the comparison that this board is to digital software multis what an analogue synth is to a digital synth. In that, each button has an almost stand alone sound/effect. You don't have to go into menus to figure out routing/parameters etc.
I like parallel paths, especially for driven sounds, but it usually involves plenty of parameters and it's no fun tweaking that stuff during practice or live (IMO). You can get really nice (mixable) sounds with PP though.
Probably the effects in the ME-90B use parallel paths also (to retain a clear low end of the bass signal), except you cannot edit the parameters of the split etc.

Quoting myself here because I want to add:
The blend function on the ME-90B could be considered as a rudimentary parallel path option. Usually when speaking of parallel paths it is meant that one path has a Low-Pass-Filter in front and the other path has a High-Pass-Filter in front of it. And you 'want' to be able to freely place effects on both paths.
Nevertheless, the 'BLEND' knob adds clean signal parallel to the effect signal

Yes, I see in the Settings where it addresses spillover for Preset "memories". Thank you. What about engage/bypass when switching in Stomp mode?
I have sold a few pedals in the last couple of weeks. At this point I simply cannot see myself NOT ordering this.

I took delivery of a ME90B on Saturday. I’m still experimenting and learning about it, trying at the moment to find a similar compressor setting / sound to my EBS Multi comp pedal.
I am really impressed with the build quality. It’s really solid, heavier than I was expecting. Loving that blue paintwork too, the sparkle / flecks in the finish look awesome.
Some of the presets make my Thunderbird sound MASSIVE.
