Breaking Bad coming back

I had a feeling all week that whatever they had planned for the machine gun would be goofy, and it was, but whatever. It's a tv show.

The scene with the lasers was really good. Best part of the episode.

I liked how the show ended. It didn't try to get too clever for its own good, which was fitting.

Second fave for me. I really loved Ozymandias, I was totally on the edge of my seat when Walt was on the phone with Jesse just spilling everything for Hank and Gomez to hear.

Side note: after getting that kind of confession, you'd think Hank and Gomez would have gone to the DEA instead of going in solo. Oh Hank and your alpha pride...

Yep, they should have got the department involved for support and done it by the book.

This was Hank "breaking bad." Nobody's innocent on this show (okay, perhaps Walt Jr. and Holly).

I like how it ended; Walt died in a lab - Todd's dead by Jesse hand, and Jesse is now free. Great ending.

I sure liked the train robbery episode. That was one exciting episode!

I'm getting a bit irritated with the commercials... I was hoping it would be largely commercial free. They're giving us an extra 15 minutes, but only to put more commercials.

This was the only bad part of the episode. Real mood killer.

Was the shot of Jesse doing wood working a flashback to the story he told about creating the box and then selling it for drugs or was it a flash forward?

Based on the dreamy lighting and fuzzy focus, I'll say it ws a torture/despair induced hallucination.

...But I think Walter made it clear: This is no longer about money. It's about salvaging what's left of your soul.

I LOVE how no one got the money in the end.

Significant? Nah, I don't think Walt had planned to get himself shot during that scene (at least by his own gun). That said, I do think it was significant that he pushed Jesse to the ground.

The moment that really got me was when Jesse had the gun but refused to shoot Walt once he saw he (Walt) was already hit. I'm not sure if Walt was looking for a sympathy kill, if Jesse was looking to make Walt take the slower and more painful way out by not shooting him, or if they both had finally had enough and just wanted to move on from the past and 'end it'.

So is Huell still just sitting in that hotel room? I was hoping he would get the pile of cash and sleep on it every night.

I think he pushed Jesse to the ground in that area thinking they would gather around them, where the gun was aimed.

I don't think it was intended for Walt to get shot, it was a very stray bullet from where the rest of them had gone.

Right, I didn't think Walt took a bullet for Jesse on purpose. But pushing him to the ground and accidently taking one for Jesse?

I too think it kind of makes Walt a tragic hero. In a weird twisted way.

The scene development with the Schwartzs that culminated with the lazer pointers, was gripping and in the end kinda hilarious

I almost felt like the episode just kinda went the way "everyone expects it to," which was weird coming from a show with endless tragic plot twists.

The head Neo-nazi dude reacted far too predictably to Walt's prodding "Hey! He ain't my partner! I'm gonna show you tough guy!"

Todd knew from Walt's showing at the diner that this was all gonna be no goodn then when he showed up at the encampment he knew it was curtains. What a brilliant evil guy he is.

Soon as Jesse came out in chains, it was obvious Walt was gonna hit that alarm and dive to the ground with Jesse. I was glad when Todd went away.

Heartbreaking to watch Walt watch his son just walk away and disappear for the last time.

I agree that the scene with the lasers was the best. Anyone else notice that for the "best hitmen west of the Mississippi" those guys hands were less than steady. Nice attention to detail.

And the scene with Skyler in that dingy apartment. They both showed once again why they deserve their Emmys.

Brilliant end to a brilliant series. And I miss it already as well.
Looking forward to rewatching it on DVD - the barrel set is on my Christmas wish list.

(though I won't miss the gut wrenching. Between Ozymandias and the Red Wedding episode of Game of Thrones I'm shot)

I didn't like the inclusion on the Badfinger song in the closing moments. I felt it took away from the scene instead of adding to it. Minor gripe. Overall, good closure to a good show.
