I can name at least 15 guys I'd choose over Timmy, and I'll spot you the top 3 out the gate (Brees, Brady, P. Manning).
I simply disagree. You have belittled (Timmy) and bashed Favre unrelentingly for years, and I expected this response. But IMO he's one of the top 10 QB's in the NFL when he sets foot on the field...and disliking him doesn't make him a worse QB.
Sporting News placed him in the top 5 if he plays this year. This set of power rankings has him at #5:

Granted, there are some better..and I'll include Manning and Brees among them. I'm on the fence about Brady - I'm not sure he isn't on the downhill.
But this is my opinion - and IMO Favre is easily in the top 10.
IMO, his peers:
Manning - Indy
Brees - N.O.
Rivers - Chargers
E. Manning - Giants
Romo - Dallas
Rodgers - Green Bay
On the bubble: Tom Brady. Show me, dude. I'm not convinced that New England isn't sliding.
Here are some who clearly are not his equal or who are unproven:
Smith - 49ers
Leinert - Cardinals (Show it to us this year)
Kolb - Eagles (Unproven)
Brohm - Buffalo
Delhomme - Cleveland
Freeman - Bucs (potential, but too young)
Orton - Denver
Campbell - Oakland
Moore - Panthers
Cassell - KC
Stafford - Lions (potential, but needs time)
Sanchez (close to the top 10, but not yet)
Cutler - Chicago. (Show me. Just show me. Great arm, but unproven brain.)
Young - Tennessee (shoe me you're not a fluke, dude)
Palmer - Cincy
Ryan - Atlanta (Maybe this year, maybe not.)
That's my opinion, and I'm stickin' to it.
