Broughton Audio Super Thread

Silver Deluxe is awesome. But I already have one, so I pre spite bought this:

This pedal started my fuzz addiction. I personally love to drive it with a Solarian running mostly clean, both pedals in Fxloop. Some swear by one setting with the toggle switches, I've grown to go back and forth, keeping each facing the same direction. Gain for me gets nice around 10 oclock, I use the Solarian to change the clipping but how hard I push it.

The Fxloop is a must for low end, although the mix works as well.

I kinda regret not going for one. I know the low end is a lot tighter on the SD. I told myself I didn’t need it since I just got a super stack.
I had an SD back from the original batch. Then scored a SS. (Wait… what?)
I had both for a while but I figured that I only needed one of them and sold the SD. Because t00bZ.
Since that time, I’ve warmed up to the Fender tone stack and drifted away from the Ampeggy stuff that I had been favouring.
So now I’m back to having both again.
And to think that at one point, I actually had my SS and SSDI in the CL’s. Whew. Thanks guys, for not buying them from me.

I sold off every Fender/Alembic pre/amp including an SSDI and D-180. I purchased another SSDI because it was in stock. I tried to not like it because of the tone stack but the sound doesn’t lie! It’s now the #1 pre I grab. That means a lot coming from an Ampeg fan boi!
I still want a D-180 to just play with that drive.

It's unreal! It's still the best drive I've heard out of the pre/amp. I'm still in contact with the guy I sold it to and I've told him many times that I'd buy it back if/when he decides to off it.

hmmm. Interesting.... My fryette could soak up that beast. Alot of work to get a nice power stage sound on my board though, you know there is a power stage pedal out there, but the owner won't return my messages

Spectating at a rage quit symposium has become a habitual pastime.
