Brute owners!

How much do they weigh? JJX5 and MJX5 Over 9lbs? Over 10lbs?

Also, are these manufactured in Korea, Indonesia?

Thanks!

4 strong Brutes weigh 9 lbs. 5 string Brutes weigh 9.5 lbs. the single cuts weigh 10 lbs, just a touch under.

Anybody know what Bartolini neck pickup would be a direct replacement for the Brutes, which model will retain that really nice modern tone that the brutes have? I need to order one ASAP. Thanks in advance.

Straight from Kevin Brubaker and us at Brubaker Brute Series:

59 J set JJX-5 - long bridge short neck
9J set- JJX-4 string -long bridge short neck
DL5 CBC and 59J short neck for the MJX-5

Okay everyone, Brubaker is THE first bass company on Pinterest, THE newest and hottest social media site. Please go to Pinterest.com and activate an account today. Search for me, Tom Richards, and then follow me and I'll follow you. Then you can "pin" pictures of your Brubaker Brutes to the board, as well as pics of you, clubs, yada yada. Go do it and have fun!

I wonder how much would have to go into a production run of any style of brute with a fretless fingerboard???? Sincle the first run of SC's have rosewood boards it would seem feasible in my mind to make a few. Or am I just dreaming.

Hey guys, I just asked the man himself and he said that in the future there may be Fretless Brute SCs. He is dealing with current production inventory and specifications but this is a real possibility. I am having a KXB-5 made so I'm not in the market for the Brute SC, but I would purchase a Brute SC-5 Fretless.

Darn it. I can't get to this from work as they have this blocked. Imagine that :-)

Played my Brute MJX-5 at band rehearsal last night. It was kicking. I will be playing a very prestigious venue/award ceremony in May for the who's who of Wilmington DE. I will be playing the Brute and spreading the word about Brutes and the entire Brubaker line. In my part of the country a lot of cats are STUCK on the typical standards like Ken Smith, MTD, Pavel, MM etc. I'm playing on something new and refreshing and will spread the gospel so to speak. Brubaker owners unite!!!!!!

Hey Brute people!

I've been intrigued with the Brutes ever since they came out, but I've never been able to find one to play, much less purchase. Where do you all buy your Brutes from? Like, I can't even find them on the internet unless they're used.... Thanks for helping me out!

On another note, I played a few USA Brubakers for the first time two weeks ago, I soooo want one of those things!
