they are worth the money. I tried a ton overdrives and fuzz pedals over the years Nothing has made me as happy as my darkglass b7k ultra and darkglass duality fuzz.

Yeh I think I'm gonna have to buy an orange juice, very tempted to get the green legend too
Wonder how close to a true Tubescreamer the GL is and what the low end loss is like.. I recall reading the JF01 vintage OD zaps some lows, I wonder if this is an improvement ? Then again, if it's a TS clone it WILL zap some...

Another user, Fuzzbass said it doesn't have the bright treble of the B3K and I agree. But it has lots of high-mid aggression with a nice low-mid grunt. Somewhere between a Rusty Box/Darkglass in sound.

After all is said, I like the Oxford, but if you really want a B3K, I'd just save up a little more
I'm guessing that the green legend could be a tube-screamer clone. and from what I understand, tube-screamers adds mid-boosts on bass. judging from the clip, the green legend sounds like it can work well on bass. but if low-end losses is a concern, a blender pedal can fix that.
As for the orange juice, I think it's a great affordable alternative to tech 21 oxford. and I was interested in getting the oxford pedal at one point based on a youtube clip I've checked out and on one of FaithNoMan's demos. I like how grindy the pedal sounded on bass. I figure I would get the same results with the joyo orange juice. I think it would be a great pedal to buy if you simply wanted a grinding sound at an affordable price.
Like the oxford demo, FaithNoMan. I dig how grindy it sounded. I was interested in getting one at one point. it seems like a great pedal to own if you play metal and wanted to have that metallic grind.

I think some early djentlemen got by with the MXR M80.
yeah I bought the B7 Ultra and the Super Symmetry and the Microtubes 900 bass head to replace my Tech 21 landmark 300 and Sans amp and yeah....I'm gonna trade in the Microtubes head and the B7 pedal and try and get a Mesa Boogie or and Aguilar great heads and pedals but not for me.
If I didn't already have a b7k ultra, duality, and a compressor I like I'd ask you how much you wanted for them lol
That's true...at certain setting, it can pull off a djent bass sound with the mxr m80. of course this was before darkglass came along and the b7k is an excellent choice for djent as well as metal.

The xotic bb is a pretty good choice, but the green legend sounded pretty good on the clip. I would say it might be a good choice if you like that tube screamer sound. but if you prefer going with the xotic bb, that's cool. I'm still interested in getting the joyo orange juice just out of curiosity. it seems like a great affordable pedal for that grinding bass tone. especially since the pedal itself is based on an orange amp.

Only played with it for less than 5 minutes and was suitably wowed.
Your indeed right about the grinding bass sound, especially with the tone and mids boosted, but it also does subtle, warm, organic sounding OD..
But yeh hell, does it grind!
Amazing pedal for the money and SO tiny and cool looking!!
Only reason I suggested a BB is coz it's basically a TS circuit no?
Maybe the Joyo green would look nice next to the OJ tho lol

Only played with it for less than 5 minutes and was suitably wowed.
Your indeed right about the grinding bass sound, especially with the tone and mids boosted, but it also does subtle, warm, organic sounding OD..
But yeh hell, does it grind!

Cool...now I know what's next on my gas list. I would of figured that the joyo orange juice has an awesome grind and I would of figured that the orange juice is a good affordable alternative to the tech 21 oxford. so that's next on my gas list along with one of the joyo chorus pedals or the moen analog chorus. also I think the xotic bass bb could be a tube-screamer clone. I've never own one, but the zoom b3 has a preamp model based on that pedal. so maybe it's a little different. I'm not quite sure. and based on the youtube clip, the green legend and the oj sounds phenomenal on bass.

Yeh the BB is a GREAT TS (I don't like using the word clone) alternative, with absolutely no low end loss whatsoever, in fact it's quite the opposite!!
The Joyo Green thang does indeed sound great in the demo vid but in the real world I think I'll lean forward for a BB all things considered
I think although the BB is a good pedal, it's tonally opposite Darkglass. Rusty Box, Oxford, those are similar(haven't tried the Joyo, but the controls are different from an Oxford). By the time you buy anything but the Joyo, you will be at least halfway from owning a B3K.
Tubescreamer-type od is midrange heavy, and gets muddier than the high, hi-mid grind of a B3K.
You want metallic, edgy, grindy. Clang. Not SVT anything, or tubescreamer.
