These cabs have tweeters and I usually have the turned off, but someone earlier had asked about hiss from the tweeters, none that I could hear. The amp is very quiet when not being played.

Now I need to get a workshop so I can build a nice high powered, light weight 2x12 to make this rig even easier to move.

Question for you: CAN YOU HEAR THE FAN WHEN YOU ARE NOT PLAYING ? Some amplifiers have a fairly loud fan noise when idle and if you are playing in closed quiet environments, it can be TOO loud.
Just ordered one (from Full Compass....they are in stock there while Sweetwater, etc. are waiting for a new shipment). Should arrive next Wed or Thurs.....

Thrilled to hear that. I noticed that their tone control layout is similar to the AMPEG PF head. Does it sound like an AMPEG-LIKE amp to you? How would you describe the sound? Of course, mine will arrive next week and I can add my 2cents.

Fan on mine is super quiet. And it either does a really god job at keeping the amp cool, or the amp just does not get hot. Not even warm and i'm running it at 4ohms.

you guys are making me happy. I have tried several of the class D "shoulder bag" amps and most of them really have a noisy fan. I play in quiet settings.....church band gig, orchestra pit (Broadway shows) and recording studios. I just HOPE that I LOVE the tone. I have been using EDEN equipment, so this is a departure for me.

So I picked up one of these and used it on a couple gigs. Not having read the very minimal owner's manual I didn't realize that the input defaults to passive instruments so it actually clipped using my Lakland 4-94 even with the gain completely off?!? Then I read that you have to engage the input pad for active instruments. Ok. Now I can't make the input clip even with the gain all the way up ?!?. I A/B'd it with my Kustom KXB500 at home and found very little difference between the two with a slight edge going to the Kustom for low solid finger-style tone and a slight edge going to the Bugera for slap and pop. The transient peaks on the pops seemed a little cleaner and more musical on the Bugera.
On the gigs I have to say I prefer the Kustom as did our keyboardist who is also a bassist. It just seems to fit in the mix better and the slap tone while not being as "pretty" sounding as the Bugera seems to cut through better. I think it's a good sounding amp with good build quality and nice features for the price. My opinion is just about what works for me in my own little world. Not going to keep it but I think it falls into that great bang for the buck camp with the Kustom.

I haven't used mine on a gig yet, but goofing off in the house, it is louder than any of my other micro heads. All of them (with the possible exception of the TC) are capable of producing enough volume for any gig I would find myself on. Even the TC is enough for most.

Another gig done. some more observations. Amp sounds great through both my 2x15 (which i used last night) and my 2x10+1x15.

PROS
Light weight
Powerful
Sounds great
Versatile
Worked well with my new wireless
Does not get hot
Fan is quiet

CONS
Having to use an external tuner (not that big of a deal, but I do miss the convenience of my rack tuner) :P

I found a used Behringer 2 button foot switch in a pawnshop for $5. It should control the mute and the effects loop. I forgot to test it last night.

I also need to hook the DI out up to my recording interface and see how the signal is from there. I doubt I'll ever use it live unless we are recording the gig, but i do not have my portable recording rig back together and ready to go at this moment.

I had a friend come by today and compare bass gear. We had tons of stuff to go through. Most notably, the Veyron M gave his fearful cab all it could handle. The cab was begging for mercy. The amp wasn't stressed at all. I have seen the limit light(ring on the volume control turns red), but never into a cab. This head is a complete beast. I'm glad I grabbed it.

I received my Veyron M a few days ago and testing it out in my music office (and garage at higher levels) it really seems great. While it is truly difficult to judge the output wattage without test equipment, my feeling is that it is probably around 1,000 true watts or so. I usually use EDEN World Tour 800C (1100 watts into 4 ohms bridge mode), Carvin BX1500 (1500 watts into 4 ohms bridge mode) into EDEN 2-10 cabs (2) equals 4 ohms or Aguilar 15 cab and an EDEN 210 top--total 4 ohms. IN MY GARAGE...the Veyron held it's own and sounding just as powerful as the EDEN. The EDEN sounds "smoother" and more high-fi. The VEYRON seems to have a treble edge that may be perfect in a live situation with drums, guitars, keyboards, etc.. going full blast. The tone control circuit seems really close to the AMPEG PF-800 that I used to own. Pressing the "ultra-low" dips the mid range and adds a slight treble boost while adding some low bass. I find that if I use the "ultra low", I need to bring the treble back to around 10-11 oclock and bring back some of the mids that the circuit is cutting. I will report in after an outdoor concert this Saturday. Outdoor gigs really let you test out gear because you dont have the indoor room acoustics to mess with. SO FAR, I am impressed with the amp, especially at the price and weight of it.

I used the Bugera Veyron amp today for an loud outdoor gig. 1st set I used my EDEN WT 800 in bridged mode that gives 1100 watts. 2 and 3rd sets, I used the BUGERA. Equal or greater power. It never farted out, distorted or pulled back like it was on a compressor. It is a winner! The sound is slightly more aggressive and edgy sounding than the EDEN. (not necessarily a bad thing). There seems to be a little more sound in the 800-1000 cycle range. I think that if I pulled back on the midrange (either on the amp or on the bass) , I could have come closer to the EDEN sound. Playing at an outdoor show at high volumes and the amp did NOT get hot to the touch. SO, it is not stressing out to deliver the wattage. If I had to guess, I would believe that the amp definitely puts out 1000 watts, maybe as much as 1200+ watts. Once you are over 1000 watts, it is hard to tell the difference that another 100 or 200 watts would give do. FULL bottom on my B string, thick sound throughout and a nice extended treble with the string sounds and overtones galore.


For the money, size and weight........I give it 2 thumbs way up!
