Bugera Veyron BV1001M gig review

The nicer ones that Rondo sells. I will post a pic later. I have several of those bags. Admittedly, the head doesn't fit in the pocket of my double bag. Given that I always bring two basses to a gig...

That said, I'm not gigging at the moment. Carrying a single 2x10 cab in one hand, with my bass/amp/cables in a gig bag over my shoulder is a nice one trip experience.

I played mine out last night for the first time and really liked the tone I was getting. Played my MTD Kingston Z6 with the Bugera head into a single Genz Benz contour 112. Not a big room with a keyboardist and drummer that did not hit hard. This amp puts out what you put into it. I could get big changes from just messing with the onboard preamp of my bass.

Yep, it all fits. Granted, I use a clip on tuner, unless I'm using my zoom pedal. I don't use my 50', 12/4 speaker cables either. The one I carry is maybe 4' long. Standard, 20' cord for the bass. The bag has two very large pockets. Head in the bigger one, cables and crap in the smaller one. Pretty decent bag. I've had them for about three years, they still look good. Zippers work, etc.

Not actually a gig review, but...
Last night I decided to take my Maruszczyk Hellwood 5a (Invalid Link Removed) to the rehearsal space.
First time to play that bass through the Veyron M and the TecAmp L810 with the band.
Holy cow...what a clarity and ease in the tone!
Ran the EQ almost flat, just had Ultra Low active and set the mids at 220Hz to ~ 1 o'clock to compensate the mid loss a little, everything else flat, compressor active and set to ~9 o'clock.
Band was very impressed also.
I really love the amp more with every minute I play it.

Now lets just hope that it lasts and doesn't enter the "Bug-Era" as it's name might suggest... :D

That's because it has "A MILLION WATTS" !! Still waiting for someone to really run a test for true RMS wattage. However, I have to say that mine is as loud and clean as anything I have ever used. (my other amp is EDEN World Tour 800C= 1100 watts bridged @ 4 ohms.)

You're responsible for any dissatisfaction I may experience with my kappalite 3-way :D

I jumped on a demo model from sweetwater. I have two years to pay off $360 :thumbsup:

The baked in compression and limiting are well implemented. Even when driven to clipping it doesn't sound too bad. My lead sled sounds better at (max)high volume but definitely not worth the extra size and weight. It's just a solid combination of well thought out compromises....where the compromises are hard to find.
