Made the changes. Reduced part count.
It's possible, I'm not going to speculate on how likely, but possible, that I didn't connect pin 4 (-Vcc) to the ground. I can't say one way or another.
Works great. Threw it in a loop pedal to test it vs bypass and threw 30' of cable behind it. Bright when in the chain, a bit dull with it out. Can't tell a difference with a short cable out the back end.. I'm going to call this one a win.
