Having done similar work on an inexpensive Ibanez GAXB bass, which I converted from having a single soapbar pickup to twin Jazz bass pickups. I can only wish you good luck.

In my case though, I covered the original pickup rout with a recessed slab of maple and then routing the cavities for the J pickups, the downside is that the bass HAS to be finished in a non-see through way. I ended up giving it hot rod flames on a white base.

Also what I'd like to know, Pedulla presents itself as "Pedulla guitars" but did they ever make guitars at all? They seem to be an all Bass company.

Raspberry Metallic (looks great with a flat pearl clear over it for a frosty look) With a flat finish to your pups it'd look great.

if i had known about it being for sale, i would have bought it.. and felt fortunate to have it.. as it was..

if the purple is what you like, do it.. but, it would look good in a transparent amber burst.. or arctic white.. or bright silver metallic.. or a candy tangerine.. even in aztec gold.. transparent emerald green.. or silver burst.. a warm Candy Apple Red.. or Suede Black (the matte black like on Ritters).. a very dark transparent Coffee.. in Chrome.. or Matte Nickel plate.. the "Polar" Bugatti metallic..

I tried selling it for what i paid for it for over 4-5 months, then reduced it some, no bites at all. So i had to sort it out. I have just put up its fretless cousin in the classifieds.

Colour choice has been made, just grinding down the input jack area (internal) so the EMG jack socket can be fitted.
