Blimey took a while to get updated!

So the pickup rout is sorted, had to fill in and rerout the battery box is getting sorted this week. Then off to refinishing!

Simple question....I see you are sticking a MM and a p-p/up in together. I have a pos Hohner that I am busy refinishing (p/j config) I was thinking along the lines of what you are doing...thanks for the groundwork. Btw, even though the Hohner is a pos, it plays really nice, hence the effort.

Will the MM p/up compliment the P better than the single coil? I have two passive MM p/ups looking for business...and this might be a solution tothe fact that the j p/up sounds rather lifeless.

Get some filler in them seams........stat!

j/k.....

It's coming along, man.... that's a deep pickup route..... ;)

Its just pencil mate ;-) The old seams were sanded down.

No idea until the bass is finished! However, the EMG i picked has a true single coil mode. So i have a wealth of tones possibly on offer.

Dude, if you play that in Stokes Croft any time in the next three years, I'd love to hear the tone on that.

Will do! I only played at the croft a few weeks back with my USA Jazz 5 Deluxe. Put together a band and full set in under 3 days to do it too!

Rob.

Nice I am going to be buying a 1988 MVP 5 soon and plan on refinishing it.. Where did you get your logo made?

Just from some random on the internet who knew how to take a photo, fix it up and turn it into a vector image. Then i took the image to a vinyl decal company online. Sorry i dont have the details of any of them! It was a fair old while back.

Take a photo of the current logo and find someone to do the same, shouldnt be too hard!

Hey man, missed this thread when it started. Looking good so far, don't sweat the critics. It's your bass, and your muse, follow it. I know it's getting old, but...
