When you sell the cabinet, list the cover for sale in a separate listing with its own price. Then you can negotiate on that price with the cabinet buyer and at least get something for it. If the cabinet buyer does not want it, somebody else will.

Cab Covers - Yes Or No?

Agreed with all of the above - I never used to think much about cab covers 'til I bought a "like new" Mesa PH810 cab that came with it's original padded cover... After 6 years of gigging that cab, approximately 100x per year, the cover was beat up, but the cab still looked(and sounded) like the day I got it - and I actually made a small profit on the cab when I sold it, even after all those gigs...

Yes. Had one made for my Hartke HX 4-10. Not padded but a well-made vinyl Le Cover product. Have since sold the cab but don’t regret the investment. Will buy another when I get the Ampeg 2-12. I guess I just like taking care of my gear.

No, I don't. Although I suppose one could invest in some rat fur from the fabric store and spray-on adhesive and line them...

Yes to the cover, helps keep the cab on good shape. I have the same Markbass combo along a 15" ext. cabinet, and they have custom covers made by Custom Amp Covers Inc., very well made and protects my investment really well.
For resale, the value of the cover is in the fact that the cab is in great condition so it will sell for a higher price than with a worn exterior.

Tuki covers are worth their weight in gold to me, if for no other reason than a little peace of mind. My Heritage 410 and Walkabout combo both came with nice factory covers - everything else over the years has gotten a Tuki right off the bat.
Up until a few years ago I used roadcases.
They are top notch when it comes to protecting gear but eventually I got tired of dealing with them. Part of it was also just not gigging as much out of town and These days we have a much smaller trailer so gear packs up better without much moving around. Guitarist and I both have two smaller cabs (he has 2 2x12 cabs I have a 410 and a 15) and rehearse with one cab each and play shows with two each. I have the ampeg brand covers on my ampeg cabs.
They do a decent job. When we use the band trailer for our out of town shows I make sure the speakers are facing a wall so they don’t get damaged and typically lay them on their side so I dont have to take the casters off to keep them from rolling. They don’t offer the same protection but they do offer some protection and I’ve never been able to get much for cabs when selling them so im not as picky as I used to be. I think I sold that 810e for the amount i paid for the Case lol. So I practically sold them the case and gave away the cab for free.
