Sure, no prob at all. Best 50 bucks I spend for my IR collection to work. Zoot's post earlier shows the full interface.

Yikes... I could definitely see how that would be quite an expansive rabbit hole indeed. I like the Berg pack enough that I don't know that I'd need to drop the $ on Supercabinet just yet, but the thought of re-EQing a few IRs is indeed appealing. Maybe I'll have to check out the trial.

5sg.

Wow, respect if you can handle that - way too many variables / choices for me.
But for recording... I'll bet that software can you get just about any tone.

But I'm not into recording, my playing is nothing special and I just like to amuse myself playing along with stuff on headphones...

I have a Boss IR-200 on the way. I already know that I will want to try some third party IRs. Where to start - York?

Actually, how would you rank the quality of the following IR providers? No offense intended to any that might be TB members:
  • York
  • Ownhammer
  • Dr Bonkers
  • 3 Sigma
  • Celestion

Short feedback:
They sound good, but...
They are fairly dark sounding IR's with a fat chewy bottom, as one might have guessed from the graphs I posted.
Of course you may EQ a bit to taste, but they won't become my go-to IR's as I prefer a more balanced tone as a starting point.

I have been playing aroud with the version 2.0. After a some eq-ing I must say, I now like it quite a bit.

As far as my reference IR's are concerned, it approximated the vibe of the Bergantine NXT 322, Playing Style versions which are already eq'ed.
So high praise indeed.

nice! - i'll compare today

from Tyle Spicer's page:

A SLIGHT 112 IR
2 Impulse responses of a 1x12 neodymium speaker cabinet, compatible with the Helix, Space Designer and others. Recorded using a ‘47’ style microphone. Works great paired with the matching amp model in the Helix to produce a full ‘modern-classic’ rig!

have you tried it with the Helix Agua 51amp?

Zoot, I don't have a Helix.
I use the IR exclusively at the end of a pedal chain for headphone playalongs.
Bass -> Genzler 4OTF -> Darkglass Hyper Luminal -> Carl Martin Para-EQ Preamp -> Mooer Radar IR Cab loader -> SSL 2 audio interface -> Yamaha HPH-MT8
From the range of Bergantino IR's I always use one of the Playing styles (the last 5 in your list)

...Additionally, spicer is going to re-do these captures and use a separate mic on the tweeter to give more high frequency content. You'll get a free upgrade...

...That is great, I am looking very much forward to those! :bassist:

Still waiting patiently :) ... These IR's have potential.
Meanwhile, I have EQ'ed them in THU Supercab and exported the modified IR's for use in my Mooer Radar.

if anyone wants a cheap IR pedal, the sonicake IR pedal is on sale for prime day for $48
That's pretty cool for an entry level unit...unthinkable 10 years ago at that price.
There are a lot of players out there who lament that their multi-fx doesn't have an XLR output to interface with a mixing console. ( I know that Zoom ditched their XLR output after the B3 on the B3n, but it returned with the B6.)

Not only would this likely be an improvement on built-in cab sims on many "low end" multi-fx, but it also could act as a DI, though unsure if there is a ground lift (doubtful at that price).
