This place is like a day care center. The moment you say something that a crybaby doesn't like, they tattle to the mods, and you get an incredibly condescending message from them, treating you like a 4-year-old and issuing demerits. This includes "when implying harsh language, you must use symbols to block out ALL letters of the word". So, no "eff-dash-dash-dash". Honestly, I've never seen a bigger bunch of d-bags than some of the people on TB. Remember: playing bass doesn't make horrible people any better. It just means they play a great instrument, and they are still horrible.

Most people choose a bible, but since it is all pomp and circumstance anyway, I don’t see why you couldn’t swear on TB.

Personally, I’d swear on an encyclopedia. But that’s just me.

On a serious note, though, I think the taboo of “swear words” is a bunch of nonsense. It is part of language, and like any part of language it comes down to whether or not you use it in context. Somebody dropping the “f-word” every other word is probably a bit crass, and perhaps a simpleton.

Do you just start cursing loud enough for strangers to hear you in public? You know, at the DMV or while shopping at your favorite grocery store? Perhaps you scream profanities loudly enough for everyone to hear... Strangers, Army Vets, Children, etc..... Does that make you feel good? Well, I for one don't care for people who feel it is okay to do so in public and, believe it or not, this is a public place too.
