I feel you. I ordered mine January 1st. I got my post card, with an expected date of 3/2/12. It is going to be tough.

No Inlays (I'm hoping the Bridseye Maple is Really stunning)
Cream pup covers
V/B Control
Chrome hardware with neck pup cover
Dragonburst with a quilt maple top

I ordered 2 B50's on 11/8. Had a due date of 1/12. One should ship today, the other later this week. But part of the delay was that the custom shop folks got to take a week off for the holidays.

Just a heads up to you guys, I recently did some trading and got an SB5000. It's pretty tricked out with a flamed maple top/headstock and 5 piece neck. I'm gonna be selling it soon though, I just need the cash more than a new bass. :hmm:

If anyone is interested, feel free to shoot me a pm. I'm gonna be listing it in the next few days. :)

I got it lined. This is my first attempt at fretless, so I thought I could use the training wheels. I know that a lot of folks out there say to just go unlined (it does look cooler) and let my ears tell me when I'm in tune, but I'm still pretty new to playing and so I thought I'd get more enjoyment right away with a lined fretless. The bass is on it's way and is due to be delivered some time on Wednesday. I can't wait!!!

I don't look at it as training wheels. I have both and it really doesn't matter to me. Jaco had lines, Gary Willis has lines, neither of them were/are beginners or need "training wheels".

You make a very good point. My apologies to anyone who thought that I implied that having lines on a fretless means someone is less skilled. That is most definitely not what I meant. I only meant that I'm still a new player and unfortunately still spend most of my time looking at the fretboard when I play!

You're not the only one that makes such comments. It's just a misconception.
