got canceled not for the storm but the singer has the fluMy Band has a gig at a place called the Orange Lantern. Very small stage they have a in house PA but, we will be bringing our Bose system instead. Played here before tight, tight set up so this maybe the last time.Major hassle with a 5 member band and one of the rules is no equipment on the floor so it leaves very little room for the band as you could guess. Now they are talking snow storm Friday night into Sat not sure if the gig will get canceled so far still on
Lips is playing at Katie Jakes, in Covina, CA tonight 9-1:30... dance and rock covers! Usually lots of dancing and appears to be a fun hang!

Clubdate on Saturday.
Unfortunately for me, it will be my last gig for a long time. I go under the knife next Friday for a biopsy and to put a rod in my upper right arm to reinforce the bone where a tumor has been growing. And oddly enough, this may be unrelated to the problem I had a few weeks back regarding the arm. I have all the mobility I need to play at my self imposed high level: I am told not to lift anything heavier than a teacup or I run the risk of breaking my right arm. Don't worry, my son will be my roadie, I'll just play
jgsbass, I feel for you. I had minor surgery in November, and the cure felt worse than the disease in my case. They'll take the titanium rod away after your fracture has healed, so enjoy your tone bar for the time being.
The doctors call it a nail and it's permanent. The plan was to keep it there because of the extensive bone damage from the tumor. I'm waiting til the radiation starts. I wonder if my son will be able to pick me up with his night vision goggles![]()

Okay gig went okay considering our Keyboard player could not make the show We cover Classic Rock and most if not all have keys in them so, he has something to do ha, ha, ha anyway what we decide to do since it was a biker bar was to throw out the keyboard songs for some metal stuff Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Metallica songs most of us grow up playing this stuff so it was very easy to switch and work them into the show It was nice rocking some old Geezer Bulter, and Bob Daisly riffs great stuff and of the bikers loved it as well we throw in some Rainbow and Deep Purple on requests and the show rock and went off without a hitch only that happen that was out of the normal a chick dancing fell over a mike stand on to her butt! two shows this weekend Friday and Sat....RTSgot canceled not for the storm but the singer has the flu
got a show this Sat 2-13 hope he is better by then
My cover band, Lips, is playing at Callahan's in Azusa tonight - 9-1... rock and dance covers - usually a great time at this smallish place!
The venue is a movie theater, with the movie seats still there. They've put in a bar and a small kitchen. They also kept the marquee, which it was fun to see our name on, in big letters.Next gig (I hope): Saturday 2/20, On The Bus at the Strasburg Theater in Strasburg VA, 9 pm.
