Haha! That is an ESP Series 400 headstock and probably an ESP body. $3000...I like old ESPs...but not that much. Hahaha

Might be Fodera strings. :meh: Definitely an ESP-looking headstock.
  7. I just saw this myself prior to seeing this thread, I sent him a question asking about it.

  9. How do you know it's not a Fodera? Lots of famous builders create things like that when they're getting started. Could be legit. Paging Vinny Fodera.......

It has an ESP headstock. Classic Series 400 headstock shape.

Sounds like he's found a buyer... Tell you what my friend, buy it and tell us ALL about it.

  12. He replied to my question on the Bay...

This bass was owned by Aaron Feder in the 70's. I also had to
replace a potentiometer which confirms that it is a Fodera. I
kept the worn original and it is still in the case. I am happy to
have it authenticated for a serious buyer by an independent
party. Alternatively you are welcome to come to Sedona and play
    it :)

    Ok then...

How in the heck does a potentiometer "confirm" that it is a Fodera ?

A pot will have a manufacturers code and a date they're easy to replace. That's a big thing about old Fenders... replaced pots that look "correct" to untrained eyes because the date code/manufacturers code are correct.

This bass is a nice bass, but sure looks like an ESP to me. But then again, I'm no Fodera "expert".

I reported this listing to ebay and would suggest everyone does the same. The guy listing it is obviously a total d- nozzle who is playing the odds that this sells before it is reported (and if not it is basically free to list so he will keep listing it).

Please-- report him and people of his ilk to keep them off of ebay, I say.
