Well ladies and gents, back from the NE GTG. Met all kinds of cool peeps. Slept off the beer and pizza in front of the LSU vs Auburn game. Woke up just in time to see LSU kick the winning field goal in OT. Didn't bother to make a planned call to my cuz in AL. Need to give that a few days to wear off.

Thank you! :p

lmao...don't worry...it was the left hand...lol...and I went through an entire bottle of hand sanatizer on the way home. :p:rolleyes:

This is not the first time Ihave heard this story. A friend of my mom's was shopping in Filene's Dept. Store in Boston store years ago, and had a wad of 100's tucked into her pantyhose. She and her mom spent an hour 'laundering' the cash in the ladies room sink and drying the money under the air dryer after retrieving it from the funky toilet. I think that was 45 or 50 years ago. Back when people went shopping with cash.

lmao....oh man....why do I have so many toilet stories?

About 11 years ago, when my first son was just about a year old, and you still have to haul around a crapload of stuff for them, I was at my dad & step-mom's wedding reception. In the bathroom, of course, trying to balance a purse, a diaper bag, and whatever else I had with me back then. So I flush the toilet, grab my stuff off the back of the tank, and, plop, in fall my freaking keys!!! Now, this wasn't like one or two keys. This was about five keys and at least five keychains, plus an alarm key fab and an automatic start key fab. So, I'm grossed out, but figure that I'll just grab them right back out. Lmao, except they're already gone! That stupid toilet had the most ridiculous flush power I've ever seen! I just stood there and stared at it, waiting for them to pop back out, but there was nothing. So here I go, out the door, off to explain to my new family that I was going to need a ride home for a spare set of keys because I had flushed my keys down the toilet. Of course, no one believed that my keys could have actually been flushed all the way down. So my new step brother, who is about 16, rolls up his sleeve and reaches right in as deep as he can. No luck...lol...they were gone. I did gain a whole new appreciation for my new brother though!

well if i have to tell you it would be no fun....

Just go Get FM and the two of you come and plug a few things in and twist a few knobs...and stomp on a few switches...and we will see what happens....lol

California, here we come!!!!!!

On the topic of foot action, I saw this guy tonight playing a handmade flute in the square in front of the cathedral in Cologne. I took video of this because I'd have never believed it, so as soon as it's up on the tube, I'll post a link. He was doing rhythm with his feet with little small cymbals under his toes and heels. Flutes sounded amazing - I bought two - one tuned in C Maj and one tuned in Bb.

I'm in Cologne, safe and sound. So far today - landed Frankfurt, drove on the Autobahn, went to the chocolate museum, checked out a bunch of people busking in the shopping district, and now it's time to head for dinner at the brewhouse up the street. Back soon!

You sound like you're having a great time out there! Glad you made it safe.

Better message John now, and let him know he's going to have to start covering some Tull and Marshall Tucker so you can rock on the flute!

I'd like some brewhouse pics from Koln, please and a description. You could post some optional pics of the German brew house ladies. I have her some outstanding rumors about them, not that any of the guys here care about anything like that.

Check out the pics on the last page of the NE GTG thread in the Social events forum. good time was had by all. Check out Freddels hitting on little Aubrey's hot mom. Check out my Rockstar friend Tony, half Norwegian, half Italian. he laughed when I introduced him as my friend the 'Guinea Squarehead'. Charlie 'Passinwind' shows up there too.

Nice ... I'm jealous, even though I just got back from 10 days in Europe.

FM, it looks like I may be making a Chicago trip sometime in the upcoming weeks.

Tonight was the first of the brewhouses. We went to Brauhaus zer Malzmühle for dinner. There were no German brewhouse ladies tonight. Our server pretty much looked like the guy on this webpage. Invalid Link Removed We'll keep looking for the pretty bartenders though, Thor!!

But - despite there being no women to ogle, it was pretty awesome. The food was authentic and the bier was amazing. I had the Mühlen Kölsch to drink, braised beef with dumplings and stewed apples for dinner, and apple strudel with ice cream for dessert. Pictures of the food below. The guys both had bratwurst with fried potatoes and red cabbage.

Pictures of the chocolate Santa I saw at the chocolate museum, too. He's pretty awesome for an edible gnome.
