Chick VS Chick w/Bass: Six Shooter

I've never played a Ric bass guitar, but they look cool.

As I thought might be the case, my proposed CWB t-shirt is not possible to make in real life as opposed to on the internet. But I'm a patient guy and I will come back with another design once I figure out how these parameters work for a real shirt.

Gig last Friday night with the band on upright and the Jazz; gig this Sunday night with a jazz guitarist on the Sterling fretless; gig on Wednesday in Brooklyn on upright with a jazz pianist; and a gig on Dec. 9 with the band again. So I'm keeping my fingers busy, which is how I like it.

Definitely jealous of Tat, her life should become a Disney ride like Mr Toad's Wild Ride, only CWB style. :bassist:

Me either, and I've always wanted to give one a go. Hmm...there's a certain CWB Hot Bald Bassist (#1) with a Ric, that is if you don't mind touching another guy's junk. :smug:

lol...it would have to be in the 'adults only' section. :D

You will either love them or hate them....mine doesn't get much playing time, as it sounds incredible heavily distorted but IMHO (and i'm sure i will get fussed at by the Ric police for this) the clean tone is incredibly honky and nasal to my ears....no matter how i e.q. mine i simply can't get a nice solid round bottom end out of it...

In a former life I played in a band where I sang about half of the lead vocals. This was in the eighties. The trio that I play hand percussion wants me to take some of the lead vocal duties. I'm now singing "Ain't no sunshine" and I'm working on "Steal my kisses".

It' just feels odd after all of these years.

When I try to sing all my dogs howl along.....is that a bad sign? Lol:confused:

I would have thought you'd like something that had multiple holes to plug into. :D

My set up has gotten very elaborate over the years...the dual outputs on the Ric do come in handy...as i split my signal to two seperate rigs...one clean, and one dirty...but sadly again i don't like the clean tone of the Ric

these days i just use a signal splitter...and on some of my basses i installed seperate pre's for each pup so i can go out stereo...

I might be able to help you out with the Ric police. Just send that little baby my way. I've got the nice solid round bottom end under control.

Tear...it's a lonely night here on CWB...T2H, you need to get back into our time zone! It's just not the same without you! :crying:

I miss you guys all, too. :crying:

I enjoy the near instant message quality of our evening banter, which is sorely lacking when I'm across the pond, but I'll be back soon. In the interim, the best I can do is share all the stuff I'm doing as near real-time as possible. Right now it's a touch after noon in Frankfurt, 6:13 EST, and I'm sitting in the airport at gate B12, waiting for my boarding call to Madrid.

On the camera for download tonight at the hotel are car bumper pictures for Drummer, and shoe pics for the ladies. FM and PA, I found the mostest gorgeous shoes today in an airport shop. FM, they match the Spector, but they cost as much as one, too - almost 1,600 EU. And at today's exchange rate, that's going on $2,500. Today $100 gets you EU 59,23. In Europe, your money does not go a long way at all, but it's still worth it for the culture.

See ya soon!

I love the tones of my Ric. I find it incredibly versatile actually. Much greater in the variation of it's voice potential than any of my other basses. But for pure growl it's my Geddy Lee J for sure.

Bass porn.....

Missing from this pic is my black P bass and an acoustic bass.
