Chorus For Bass. Am I Insane?

Giving away my age. It's the only effect pedal I've ever owned. Got it new in 1979 I believe. Still works perfectly. I mostly use it when I'm forced to solo.
A little goes a long way.
I will confirm the mentions of the EHX Bass Clone. It's the best chorus I've ever used...and it's affordable!!
It would be an enormous mistake to be the bassist in a Joy Division (or New Order) tribute and not have an EHX Chorus.
Very cool. I'm pretty sure Master Effects can build one basically to the original spec. IIRC, there's a TBer who's in a JD/NO tribute who had this done and is similarly thrilled with the result. They did a custom paint job and text on it, too, called it "In a Clonely Place" which I also thought was clever.
The Lillian is their phaser. As far as the V2 being better, that's just opinion. Change is not always an improvement. For example, tap tempo is not something I require.
Crossover Distortion. They put Biamping in a pedal. Everithing else is repetitivness.
I recently posted a demo on the $99 JHS Chorus. Sounds good to me!
EHX Clone Theory + a noise suppressor pedal is perfect for my needs... in CHR 2 mode with rate and depth at about 11:00 for thick chorus, CHR 1 mode (fixed) for more of a crisp icy sound.
But I just took a look at the Master Effects Golden Ratio online and it's now on my wish list...

Back when I was on a chorus kick I really dug the Danelectro Cool Cat. Liked the look and it sounded good for the occasional song. Not saying its what you should get, just saying...
The Julia V2 doesn't have tap tempo. That IS a feature on a number of their pedals, but not the Julia.
[At least one edition of] The V2 has a better screen print than [any edition of] the V1, IMO.
I am actually looking for a fretless. Clean fretboard, no markings.
I used to play stand-up bass in high school.

Myself, I go back and forth between this old skool joint, an MXR M-117 I bought back in da 70s:

The other one I use if I don't wanna leave home with the MXR is a Zoom B1xon.
As mentioned above about the Zoom B3n, this also has 100 pedals, effects, amp, and cab models that you can string together up to five effects in any order. Turner, Looper, Drum Beats.
Zoom has stopped making the B1xon but has kept them alive in the form of this, the B1x Four. Mostly the same thing with improvements (?)
Anyway, that's all I got as I'm a budget consensus, yelling at clouds, get off my lawn, ol' bugga

Never heard a Cool Cat on bass, but a friend who played guitar had one. Sounded great!
My brother used one and I liked how it sounded on guitar so I tried it on bass and liked it enough to get one of my own

Right on, of course YMMV and all that cause not everyone will like it but damn, it looks like it came off a Cadillac and it has Speed and, best of all, a "Chill" knob, how could you go wrong?
