Chrome plated bass bodies?

Yeah, I know it's gonna be a costly move, but when was the last time anyone saw a chrome jazz? I wonder how much weight that would add to an already heavy bass? Definitely gonna look into the option a little further once money comes back around.

Yow... I used to have a mirrored pick guard on a p-bass that was fun, but used to blast the audience when I'd get a spotlight on me... And played hell on TV cameras... So a whole bass that was, essentially, a mirror... That'd be something...

I'm thinking that on something a lil more curvy like a jazz bass, the light won't be so focused. An actual metal fnish would probably be less reflective than a mirror finish.
