The DC4 is powerable via USB C. Would I not be able to power one off of the USB slot on the Powermax?

Cioks DC7 review- it's awesome

I posted back in November about getting my board together. Went with the PT Metro 16 and the Eventide Power Max version power supply.
Sweetwater all of a sudden stopped selling the Eventide Power MAX for some reason. Weird. Other places still sell it.
I figured it out, you’re talking about the OLD powermax, the new version has the 24 volt output but the first three outs are no longer switchable voltage, they’re fixed at 9v. PowerMax Pedalboard Power Supply | Eventide
Interesting. I didn't realize they had "updated" it. I'd rather have the CIOKS DC7 for having all 7 ports switchable.
USB C is capable of more power delivery than regular USB 1, 2, or 3.
Not sure if the USB port on the Powermax (which appears to be USB 2 or 3, and not USB C) will have enough juice to drive the DC4.
Should be fine from a power standpoint.
I'd just be on the lookout for any noise interactions you might get between those pedals, which seems more common on digital pedals.
You lose the isolation, so you may encounter noise. That can especially happen with dirt and digital pedals in my experience. But if you think it sounds fine and the recommended current of the 3 pedals added up is less then the port they're plugged into you should have no issues.
You won't have any issues. I have 5 pedals plugged in to my Fuel Tank, Jr. Because they add up to less than 120ma.

I need clarification on something. When looking at the Cioks Grip on the Cioks website, it’s says the following:
“You can place it as far away as possible from effects that are likely to cause hum, such as some wah pedals without having to alter your pedal layout (this is not an issues at all with DC7, CIOKS 4 or CIOKS 8).”
My question is, how is hum not an issue at all on those three particular power supplies? I have a DC5, and I’m interested in getting a DC7, but I’m curious how the DC7 has a no-hum advantage over the DC5. My Cali76-CB causes hum when it’s near my DC5, so does this mean it absolutely won’t hum with a DC7?

So I received a new Cioks DC-7 today and have a question. When I plug it in, the number 4 port does not light up and provides no power. All the ports are set to 9 volt.
Any ideas what might be going on?

Probably worth switching the Voltage setting toggles around, and then back to 9v. Might be half way between settings, or not fully toggled somehow.
Tried different cables etc with the port that seems to be acting up?
Possibly a faulty port on the unit, but I'd rule out simple stuff like the toggles not being fully engaged or in position, or loose/faulty cable for that port first.
Sounds like you got a bunk supply? If it's new, I'd reach out to the retailer you got it from.
Thanks, I reached out to Cioks support and they were super quick with a reply. They advised to send it back and have it replaced. Have started that process.
