Calling KJung!!Ok playa's thinking about giving the AC's another try. Rosewood board and alder body is my first choice. But, do you see a big difference between LG5 classic and RA5? Thanks!
(edit: I see I'm too late with my call.
I think I recall Ken saying the RA is more like an LG than an LM, but has some of the grind and sizzle of the LM built in over the LG. The RA I played at NAMM seemed to have a pretty significant amount over an LG, but I didn't have much time with it, and that wasn't the greatest listening environment.
Truth be told, I'm just so damn happy with my LG I'm not sure I'd be looking to get another AC, but if I did want something with more of the 70's thing going on, I'd be seriously considering an RA vs the LM. With the maple board and 70's spacing, I'd think I'd get all the extra sizzle and grind I'd need, but yet still retain some extra fatness from the alder body, and, maybe even drop a little weight in the process and be easier to hang around the 9 pound mark rather than the 10 pound mark.
Anyway, IMHO.
