They seem awesome. They are not on the website right, correct? Where can I find out more information about them? Are there any sound samples anywhere?

extremely punchy things they are.. with a unique tone.. I can see using them in film score material.. and i dig the colors.. Pastels very 60s vibe. Like an old 60s tube radio with a plastic rotary dial.. Yeah i dug them

+1 again.. both models 'feel and play' the same. You just need to decide if you dig the wider, brighter, deeper, grindier, more aggressive tone of the LM (ash/maple/70's), or the warmer, smoother, rounder, sweeter tone of the LG (alder/RW/60's).

If you like diggin' in at the bridge and burpin', it would be the LG for me all the way, if you like the grind and/or 70's slippity slappity, it would be the LM.

Of course, both those tone goals are great, so having both is a good thing

I put a couple new clips up on my youtube channel with various head and cab combinations (based on TBer's requests). The clips are more oriented toward the cab and head tone profiles, but the LM sounds glorious

I tell you what, the Markbass F1 is just MADE for a 70's J with stainless steel roundwounds IMO!

Am I the ONLY ONE that got excited to see those A.C. short scale 30" basses in the Namm 2010 video?!

They look interesting in a "novelty" kinda' way, but don't really appeal to me at all. That's the kind of "specialty" instrument I'd play so rarely I couldn't possibly justify big money for it. FWIW anyway.

So far yes, only 2. They were new for NAMM 2010.
The website will be updated soon, Jimmy had pics taken of the NAMM basses.

After reading 11 parts of you guys of the Alleva Club, i am postively "brainwashed". And could consider to sell my Fender 1996 V string.

Right now i am making a wishlist for my new to order LG 5 , if this list is ready i would like you AC veterans to advise me.

[Laughing!] Good for you! You don't remember seeing a great explanation of bridges and their differences back there do you? Someone posted a great summary of bridges awhile ago, and I could have swore it was in an old Coppolo club thread, but I haven't found it.

The Word on the street is the hipshot transfers energy better so It has a slightly more "Big and High Fi" sound.The bent plate seems to have found a balance between "Big" and "Traditional" so slightly a tighter tone.

Plus the bent plate just looks freaking cool and is a uniquely Coppolo.
