I would dig seeing some pics of your gold LM if you have any available. If that's the one on Jimmy's site, that's a killer looking bass.

I do not like to "gloat" per se but I will oblige soon and get some photos up. Be patient as my camera skills are very limited.

However, I'd have to humbly say BY far one of the most gorgeous basses I have ever googled.

The GOLD changes tints all day from bright in the morning to a sultry darkish tangerine translucent brassy rich kind of thing.

I've owned a 64 Shoreline Jazz-nice
83 Jazz Collector series in Aztec gold-very nice
Alleva LM 5 in Harvest Gold. Exquisite, sublime. THE NICEST :hyper:

Nice!! Can't wait to see it! That bass is killin' on the site.

I've probably missed it but what is the story behind the 'home plate' style neck plate on the LM5 Deluxe on the site? Was that something that Jimmy just tried or will it be on basses in the future?

In a conversation I had with Jimmy on this the "home plate" neck plate, he said it was experimental ( used on 3 basses for NAMM SHOW ) and I believe Pete ( or is it Vic ) has a one piece maple neck with a 4 bolt neck.

The micor tilt is not functional. Cosmetic only.
The neck plate is stamped EXHIBITION

Cool. Well from a purely aesthetic standpoint, the 'home plate' neck plate rocks. Would be nice if Jimmy offered that style neck plate if someone wanted it. Not sure how much goes into that, though.
