A company with a competing product, I assume?Unconfirmed.. Yup sounds weird.. Sorry folks...
Another company that Jimmy is sharing the room at SIR BPL with, will not allow the REDDI to be at Jimmys booth for you to try with his basses.. I understand and I regret having to tell you all.
REDDI will have an Alleva bass at there booth from what I understand..

Hmm ok. I guess we'll see who it is soon.not really.. at a stretch you could say,perhaps... They make the worlds best at what they do... but its really something way different.. unfortunately its us the consumer that wont get to play with a cool toy
Not a huge deal. If there will be an Alleva at the REDDI booth, then customers will just have to stop by there.
Yeah I hear you on that one man !
My LM5 Deluxe comes in at exactly 12.40 pounds about 1.65 pounds more than yours and I (personal opinion only) much prefer its overall charcater to 2 recent A-B tests that I had recently done with 2 other AC basses.
They were:
1. RA 5 Ice Blue. Nice light weight and beauty to play and look at. LOUDER overall than my LM. Very rich mids. Nice slap and finger tone of course. BUT the LM had more transparency, character and a tighter more focused Low B string --everyone's opinion on the last point also.
2. LG 5 CAOJ. Again, even a lighter body. Superlative dark and rich finger tone. Louder overall than my LM. Slap tone was great but not the razor sharp-sweet Marcus quality that the LM can impart. It too had a smaller body and access to BOTH frets 20 and 21 were challenging. My colleague who owns this bass agreed that he much preferred my LM5 to his LG5 and he is a professional symphony bassist of a major orchestra, theatre free lance player and enthusiast of the highest order-hence he has seasoned tastes when it comes to matters of the LF.
So, I am on the same page as you Mr. P.PD) If I could only have one AC --of the 3 that I have played--it would unequivocally be the LM.
Move over Tom Barney
For the RECORD I LOVE the heavy bodies-feel, tone and even their look....Impossible Is Nothing![]()
hey guys....my band Nyle vs the Naysayers recently got "signed" to Damon Dash's Creative Control media group and we have a weekly show now on their website. This also means I have a full blown camera crew filming me on multiple Canon 5Ds almost every time I play ANY gig! Obviously I have to wait for the editors to be done and the "good" audio to be matched but I was going over some of the footage from my last church gig and it just looks so sweet I thought I'd share....so please bare with the audio....and I'll have PLENTY more clips as they come, hopefully with better sound....ALL on my KBP5! Hope you like....

thanks guys....haha it kind of does have that SVT crunchiness through the Canon's mic....plus he was sitting like RIGHT in front of my Iamp/UL310 rig so that's why it's so gritty....kinda cool though! And I think if I brought the Beast to church they would fire me! haha
Hearing you and MikeXBass playing the KBP5's is the reason I'm thinking about ordering one. I had one ordered, but changed to a LG5.
DO IT!!

Just got home after doing the setup on all 9 BPL basses... Talk about the time of my life. I spent plenty of time with each bass trying to get them dialed in.
Kirk, you are 1 lucky mofo... Both your basses almost made me faint.
I'm very proud of Jimmy for putting out 9 outstanding instruments (IMHO). Seeing them being made and actually helping in the process has been great so far. I'm not one to talk anything up without good reason but I can't wait to see people's reactions to them. Now it's time to enjoy the show then brace for the madness to come that is NAMM.
Pics of the lineup will be posted Saturday after we unveil them at the show!
