Each of those three is perfect IMO... three of the best looking J's I've seen... period.

Ken , is the bass in the middle the same colour as your Harvest
Gold LM?

Is was considering this combi for my LG5 on order.
Not shure if the one on the pic has a matching headstock or aged clear ?

Killer basses ! Jimmy did it again.

When I was talking to Jimmy about the NAMM basses
he was working with his painter on the color of a vintage
Gibson Les Paul Gold top. The last time I talked to him
he said he thought his painter nailed it. This might be
the one he was talking about.

I find my Harvest Gold is difficult to photograph, and it looks different in every picture... sometimes deep and more copper/brownish, and other times more on the yellow/light side. So, hard to know. That bass does look a little 'deeper' with more copper/reddish hues to it than mine, but again, without a side by side in the same light conditions, hard to know.

I love the look of that particular bass though. It is similar IMO the the way Olympic white, tort, and rosewood go together, with each of the colors picking up the other. That match-up looks great to me.

Beautiful!

Man, I am just so impressed with what Jimmy is doing again. Between these NAMM basses and Vision's new LM (which totally kills), he seems to have now totally made the transition to the new shop and the new team. Congrats to Jimmy!

I continue to absolutely love my A-C's in every way, and they are just solid as a rock!

Dan thats funny i was just checking out ' Gold Top
Paul Reed Smith coloured ' guitars.
Those are a bit brighter but of course light of the photograph can make
a difference.

hey guys, don't mean to plug my for sale thread but I'm really looking to trade my all original '69 P-bass for an LG5 or RA5 (mayybbeee an LM5 too) so if anyone's interested let me know! It's one of the greatest basses I've ever played but I just can't justify holding on to it and watching it collect dust when I just don't play 4 string anymore....

Surprised no one has posted this yet, although i don't have an Alleva- Coppolo yet i am a huge fan and will be ordering one in the very near future, but here is a video i found on youtube for this years NAMM, if i am out of line posting this please accept my apologies moderators and just delete......God i love the way this bass sounds and of course i am biased to the natural look.

Truth be told, i saw your ad and i have to agree with you, YOU my friend are a monster on that 5 Coppolo, i saw what a gent wrote about you making a mistake in wanting to sell your P BASS but i agree with YOU it is expensive and you don't play a 4 anymore so why have it sit on the wall. I can honestly say you are making a good choice and someone will be happy with that P BASS.....I watch your videos and I love your laid back style of just holding it down, i am a nobody but love watching you play and one day would love to catch you and your band live. Because of you and Ken (KJUNG) and another Gent (DIGLO) i am sooooooo into these Alleva-Coppolo basses......Again rock your 5 Coppolo and don't think back you are making a very wise choice....God Bless and good luck with the sale.

thanks man! glad you got my back! :D and anytime we're playing in NYC PLEASE come out I'd love to see a fellow TBer at a gig! But it just makes sense to me to get rid of the Fender and make my collection a bit more versatile....I KNOW some lucky person will LOVE that bass like I have!

Heck yeah, let me know when you guys are back in the NYC and i will come out, i know you travel a lot to play, but seriously i would not mind coming out to hear you guys and have a good time. Yes selling your fender and getting another AC set up slightly different is a no brainer.

Jimmy's booth was GREAT this year... packed with incredible instruments. I will also have some pictures to post later, but Jimmy is going to switch to a non-slab board as the standard thing and offer the slab as an option. The bass that was made for that guy who had it dedicated is such a non-slab model. BTW, that bass was MASSIVELY punchy, and Mitch's new rootbeer LM was SLAMMIN'!!!!

THESE are the AC's I was hoping to see this year. Jimmy is definitely on his game.

Vic,

Jimmy mentioned the new approach making the LG's non-slab fretboards. Did you get a sense of any real tonal differences between the two approaches?
