Wow How cool is that brown LG5 ?
Love that sage green, too.

that gold / tort LG5 is a beauty, too.

Actually I am a bit bummed that either Jimmy or one of his costumers "stole" this idea from me. I always wanted an Alleva in the color of my car. -Alfa Romeo Luci di Bosco

I'd rock one of those sparkly ones if they had a traditional burst-type pattern. Those pics have me wondering why Jimmy doesn't sell more guitars (same with Sadowsky).

I like the idea of the bursts but I don't know that I like the pattern on these. I think you're right, a more traditional burst would be more appealing -- at least to me.

I'm sure plenty of guys like them though.

Those LG's look sweet though!

Yeah.. but NO ONE is making with the feel and exactness of a pre CBS fender. NO ONE. Not even Fender CS..
There are a few tricks that jimmy does with the neck that NO ONE knows and that he does as Fender did in the day..
Only 3 people know the secret.:smug::)
Its not just a high end strat it is something more special and unique as the originals were.

that would require guitar players actually ordering them id imagine. theres already a pretty well established group of guys that make high end strats.

still gotta get guitar players to care about that kind of stuff though. i dont think there are many guitar players playing sadowsky's either right? id imagine cracking into that suhr/anderson market would require some pretty high profile converts.

yeah so true.. you have to start somewhere though. actually Jimmy was making guitars before basses ,way back in the 90s.. he was building strats and Teles before he went back to NYC to open Guitar Boutique shop on Broadway then later on 9th ave... he was making Guitars in Texas for the locals prior to that for a few years.....

But I rode him and rode him for about 2 years to make basses...Im like water on a stone... so eventually he made basses... and the rest is history..
..
But The Allevas guitars are nothing like an Anderson, or Sadowsky..those are incredible instruments that are as you know, tweaked out modern takes on a strat and tele styles.. The Alleva may be closer to a Suhr..

Plus jimmy does a few things that he picked up by some old retired guys that used to work for Fender in the hay day that No ONE is doing or knows about... Not even the guys at fender that i know, have been doing what he took from the old fender guys... And that is his secret sauce..:)

Yeah I think I saw those guys on the 1959 video posted recently...spraying nitro in a t-shirt and doing a final check with no shirt on...
