Really?
Same pickups and preamp, and same wood bits and all?

Nice to see my old bass getting that kind of love. Basses55 and I actually tried to do a mute thing with it way back when. Obviously, you succeeded where we failed.![]()

...and totally smokin'. It's based on the LG, which in particular, is one of the best sounding basses I've ever heard in passive mode, as I think many have said here. And it's all the same guts and pickup position as the LG. You'd never miss the preamp in that bad boy.Same pickups, same wood, passive.

Sounds good, but I'm curious what water based product he's using and how that looks?
It is, I agree, and me neither, but I stood there while someone else played it and it was totally hooked up.It looks like a natural finish that is sort of matte. It looks good, to be honest. I think it is a steal for that price. I didn't play it though. I was too busy drooling over the LM5s since I already own an LG5.
You know what's funny, I decided about 2 months ago that the mute had to go. The bass just rings/thumps perfectly with the TI flats as it is so there really isn't a need to mute the strings even more (IMO)
Yes. Working on it now.Dang, I could be a hippie for that price
Anyone have any pics of one?

BTW, it was a pleasure to finally meet you in person. Too bad we couldn't hang out for a beer or something. Maybe next year.![]()
So a bit more on this...Some more cool shots, and a couple showing the difference between the current slab board and the new (cap?) style board.
