Well, that is really interesting.

It was a long clip (6 to 10 minutes) of Hadrien Feraud playing an Alleva Copollo. Since Hadrien was the only person in the video, other than random people walking by in the background, he must have been the one who asked it be taken down -- or Ken Smith, whose base Hadrien now endorses.

What a real shame that clip isn't still in the wild. It may have been the most melodic improvs I've heard Hadrien do.

For those who have questions, please allow me some time to review the last few pages of the thread and gather them all and I will try to answer as much as I can as I can't imagine Jimmy being able to do any posting for a little bit, you'd think he'd take a break after the NAMM storm but no way, he was in the shop today trying to get back into the swing of normal shop life... He graciously agreed to letting me join him later in the week so I can have a couple days off.

All in all I had a blast at the show. I am extremely proud of Jimmy and the basses we put out. There were no reservations on my part whatsoever to show anyone any bass, every single bass was executed the way we all know Jimmy can. And I feel super proud and excited to have had a small part in the creation of these groove machines. Between the F Bass booth and ours, I can honestly say we were one of the hottest aisles in the whole show, the amount of traffic and talent that came through was unbelievable! I did not get tired of hearing these basses, I was there from 9 am to close everyday and it was awesome.

I will try to post my pics asap, though they would be the same as what's already been posted... But if you're like me, you wouldn't mind looking at the same bass from 15 different angles.

And oh ya, to top it all off... I am now the proud owner of the Trans White LM5 Deluxe Limited Edition seen in the pics!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey bro!!! That bass was also MY FAV! i need to make something happen on a one piece body. That bass BLEW me away. The red one was cool but that one was THE TRUTH! i want one like that!!! that one was ALOT better than the LM5 i had before.

What's most interesting about this video is that RA5 was in the Aguilar booth because it had Aguilar single coils and the OBP3 preamp in it. I believe the tag said they were actually the 5J-60's tho, instead of the 5J-70's, which I would think would be more correct for an RA. Obviously it sounds fantastic regardless. :) I played that bass too, and it was hella cool.

As an interesting side note, I played a similarly outfitted Spector Coda J5 that had 5J-60's in it and it was also awesome.

Are there more pictures of that LG5 on NAMM 2011 in the "Gibson LP Goldtop -colour"?

Not sure if the previous post of the picture (Thanks for the post Ricksy!) with the 3 basses ( goldtop in the middle) reflects the Gibson Goldtop colour, when one would see the bass 'live'.

Yeah, I really liked the sound of those Aguilar single coils in that bass. :cool:

It might just be the amp and Hadrien's hard 'at the bridge attack', but that bass sounds WAY less 'vintage' than the more traditional A-C build. Nice and mid warm and burpy though.

However, there are very few things I like less than an OB-3 in a Jazz bass:hmm:

I don't think so (and hope not). However, Jimmy uses Aguilar amps in his booth also, so they must be friends. Makes sense to have a bass in the Aguilar booth with the new Aguilar pickups and an Aguilar pre.

I think Jimmy has done a few A-C's with Aguilar pre's (I believe Paul Turner had one).
