No you didn't. I'm talking about the 2011 LM, you're talking about the 2009 LM. Enough for both of us. We'll just have a little LM party in our minds.Truth be told ... Same here ... but ... i'm just sayin' ... i called it first ...![]()

Sorry dude .. I already called dibs on that 2009 LM the day that Mitch bought it. ;-)
Tell him Mitch !!!
IMO, it's still the BEST LM that Jimmy has made yet ... and i've played or heard almost all of them.

Ken,
People like different things aesthetics etc. So I won't pass judgement but I would point out the example of my Honduran board lg5 which you've played and most would agree is somewhat different then most of the LGs out there.
I've never played an RA but I did own a 72 jazz bass years back which I loved. Hopefully I'll get to play bassdoublers soon.

Amazing to me the churn that goes on with these A-C's with some. I bought the two of mine and was like 'yeah, perfect, done'! I did sell my RA, but that was based on not liking the RA voicing nearly as much as the more 'classic' LG and LM voicing. It's not like I'm going to buy another RA hoping for a better one... the one I had killer, just not my thing.
Now that I've played a number of LG's and LM's, to Jimmy's credit, they all seem to sound very similar. Interesting dynamic here. I guess it is a good thing for those looking for a used A-C![]()
Dont be amazed that people hear differently than you..believe it or not, its actually possible.
Actually, it might even be *desireable*.
One piece necks, one piece bodies, different weights, 18mm spacing, slightly different neck pockets, slightly different body shape, and different pieces of wood....hmmm, no matter....
I really just want a silver RA for the hell of it!![]()
Very cool clip. Thanks for posting it.I wanted to share this with yall..
I met with Paul when he was in town and i took a video at soundcheck.. video is of Paul Turner with Annie lennox @ soundcheck with his Alleva LG5..
Sound is really poor since it was my camera phone and overloading....The mix was bass heavy in a good way.. but it overloaded my camera phone mic... The crew was really just getting faders up and line checking.. And getting IEM mixes together.
