Excellante, Mike! Great playing! BTW - What is that you're playing through in the background? Looks like a DB750 and some kind of Aggie cab?

Jonno is correct. DB751 + GS210
What you guys hear is a blend of the amp and the clean channel.

Heres my signal chain:
LG5

Ch1. Bass-lehle p-split-reddi-chandler ltd1(slight mid cut) aurora 16 (converter)

Ch2. Bass-lehle p-split- aggie rig-md421-groove tubes ViPre-aurora 16

This track actually has more amp than clean. I just used it for some clarity.

My LG5 got her first beauty mark tonight.
Just finished the last song (early gig 6 to 9pm). I turned the
Streamliner off and turned at the same time as the guitar player/lead
singer and our headstocks connected. The tuning peg of
his Martin gouged a nice hole through the painted headstock
on my one month old LG5. :eek: It's really not that bad but
the first one hurts the worst. It's finished in nitro so there are
probably many more gig rashes to come. It really sounded
great tonight too! :D


@Mike, I loved both vids! Looking forward to more!!

Dan. Youre right, the first one always hurts. Ive got several. And a thumb wear spot from playin the bridge pickup. i kinda wish i could wear it more. I love that distressed look. Since i dont EVER plan on selling..i dont mind it. :-) hehehe

OH YEAH! Actually it's been a while, but I used to do TONS of off Broadway stuff when I first moved to NYC....supposedly I'm doing a touring show of West Side Story soon so we'll see how an AC sounds doing "Maria" haha....congrats on the gig!

That KBP is gonna' kill on that stuff. As much of a J bass fanboy as I am, there's just something so totally worthy and honest about that earthy tone of a great P. I've heard them played in everything from finger funk to slap to even full out jazz combo. It just works.

Break a leg, and enjoy!

If you say "break a leg" you have to have been around the theater world. I did "West Side Story" last year with a Fender American Standard 5 string P, so I can't wait for my KPB5 to be finished later this year so I can bring it into that world. P's rule there, so thick and supportive, simple with the one volume knob when you gotta duck down under the singers, who vary widely in strength. Good luck on the tour, I'd love to get me some of those!

Yes, you're right, and those Fender P's are really nice too, but of course the KBP is nicer, and I'm positive you'll be loving it. :)
