White BLOCKS, or white binding and pearl blocks? Just making sure... never heard of white blocks before.

Otherwise, I'd definitely suggest something lighter, like a light blue, green, red, or even orange, but not a natural or vintage tint... probably too pale.

They're celluloid actually. I'll get some photos of the front. I did see some shots of the side profile It has a a really beautiful looking two tone binding. It's going to be a pretty cool and unique bass.

Great news Joel you won't be disappointed. As you know my lm has blocks and binding. I looked at every vintage fender I could find online. Both guitars and basses with a maple board and then those with blocks and binding.

3 ts with a black guard is nice as is natural. One of the most fun times I had in the build process was choosing a color. I think if I did it again I'd go trans rootbeer.

Yours is a beauty. I was thinking of going natural - but I'm really a fan of Jimmy's color finishes.

Well, yeah, I didn't think real pearl, but I'm just saying pearloid look, right, not just plain white like the binding? In other words, just like Jason's (TB:Vision) LM5 neck?

Here's a shot of my neck with the pearloid blocks for an example...I'm not sure if the material is celluloid or not:

You are correct Vic. They will be pearloid not plain white. I just meant the blocks and binding were white as opposed black.

Jimmy had mentioned doing a cool trans orange LM5. He thought it might be a TB'er who owned it. Would love to see a shot if anyone has it.

The trans orange LM5 from this past NAMM went to his dealer in Korea, but it had a rosewood board with blocks/binding.

And on the inlay material... They've been perloid but the newer LM's will have celluloid... Jimmy found a more period correct material and plans on using it for the LM's.

Ahhh, well then the world is your oyster... I literally can't think of any body color that wouldn't look great with that neck type. My faves have typically been trans blue and trans red (in addition to the 3 tone sunburst of course). Brighter colors like Orange, Yellow, or maybe a light Green are great if you want something that can be seen from the International Space Station. :D
