I remember that bass from NAMM. Beautiful. I shoulda' played it to check it out. :)

At first glance I thought a picture of my LM5 was posted, in looking closer same color scheme with a BA bridge, first I'm seeing it. Is it a TBer who owns it?

Thanks guys, yeah, it's a great instrument. Jimmy outdid himself. It was years in discussion, back in the Hell's Kitchen NYC hood, and was made in time for last year's NAMM.
i'm sure Jimmy would be open to talking about building more, if requests were made from the community. It's the best of his 4s, in a very ergonomic, classic-shaped 19mm 6-string.

If i may ask do you have some more or better pictures of the LG5 in Gold with the tortoise pickg in the gallery ( 1 closeup of the body/neck and another )?
There seems to be a lot of difference in the colour.

The size is only about 1/8" on top and bottom...
The first one was a little over 2 years ago...
I have one of each a NYC and news wider body plus a Dinky LG5...
The New bodies are slightly thinner too. Closer to Vintage Spec ..

The difference is minimal

Yes. That is correct...
We went through both of our collections... and then he tweaked a few things..

I've been out of town the past week , and used my Sonic Blue kbp4 on all dates...With a D-Tuner... That bass gets nice reviews form FOH to Monitor land and buddies that come out to the gigs..

We had an opener band, and the GIT player said that the Kbp4 bass on stage was too punchy..
Honestly, I never heard that before,,, that a bass was "too" punchy.. not to loud, but too punchy..
I take that as a good thing;)

What are the actual dimensional diffs from, say, the original NYC size and the Dinky, and, did he ever make this a standard option? If so, is there a charge associated with it?

I never measured my dinky.. :smug::D :eek: Just looks slimmer and longer than a normal one. :D :eek: :smug:

Joking aside, I would guess its in the ball park of about 1/4" smaller on each side.. give or take,

The treble cutaway is wider and deeper than standard..
This Dinky ( not a trademarked name) is a one off piece as an experiment. Similar to a sadowsky NYC which is also Dinky size. But this one retains a larger radius on the body edges instead of the tighter radius of my sadowsky. Feels closer to vintage, but is smaller in size yet still balances well.
And I still Love and gig my NYC Sadowsky pj5.. Great bass! And Roger is such a fantastic guy and builder.

Pricing and ordering questions can only be answered by Jimmy.. I just don't know the answer to that.
