So the kind/make of the cap is meaningless??
IMHO, for this application, yes. The main diffs between the high end stuff and the low end stuff is tolerances and voltage handling, but this is such a low tech and low voltage circuit, that stuff really doesn't matter. Buy the cheapest thing you can find.

Cool Info there Vic. I didnt know that.....
My P that jimmy made fro me the Sonic Blue one.. has an old NOS .047 that he had...
We were messing with my LG one day long ago.. and we tried the .022 and i found i liked it .. If i wanted to , I could actually use the Tone control 100% in either direction. And even all the way off i get a muted tone that does not get overly dark. Where when i used the .05 i could not get the same even if i didnt use the full rotation of the Tone control. If that makes sense.

To me, at 50% it seems to still let highs go through while muting some 2k gank when using nickles......

Hey, I did a little digging on this, and it seems like the .047/.05 cap is standard/typical for 60's, but the .022 is what they used in the 70's? At least the Fender American '75 RI uses a .022. Interesting!

yeah.. hahaha.
I have only seen guitar players drop their guitars when they use those schallers .
That screw on retainer NUT loosens and then the whole thing just goes.. If you check the tightness all the time you are OK,. but who does that. I prefer the Dunlops and have been using them since the early 80s i guess ...maybe since the late 70s.. once it clicks it never releases until you hit that button..

In fact i still have my original pair on my 77 musicman.. works perfectly.

Then again, I never flip my bass around my neck.... well maybe in front of the Mirror. . :D:D:D:D:rollno: :help:
But not on a gig:D

Too funny... He disappeared from the stage pretty quickly!

Whats Good Amigos,

I havent been on TB as much as id like. We recently released our lastest record and weve been getting those miles in!

Were in Dominican republic til sat morning. Its been a GREAT experience. I thought id share a quick clip of one of the concerts where the LG is ROCKIN'!

She took a fall and got a very very small hairline crack. Believe me i was devasted. I went a repair shop and all is well. I never plan to sell her so im considering leaving her only for studio gigs. Im talkin with Jimmy about ideas on a "touring" bass.. If nothing comes about, i might just go a different route for the tours. Although id really like to stay in the Famiglia, as jimmy would say it..

Hope you guys Enjoy!
