I just wanted to say thanks guys. It's all you fault 
Here I was, very happy being retired, and this thread comes along!
Now I am going to have to come out of retirement, get a real job ....again
so I can order one of Jimmy's basses.
OH and just receiving one of the Alleva Coppolo Per Amp Stompbox's didn't help either.......what a great Stompbox!

Thank you.. it is Indian Rosewood... I was going to exchange it out for a Brazilian.. But to be honest .. i dont want to change a thing,,,, it is as close to my KBP4 as i could imagine.. I finally did an A/B and it is a big WOW

Something about a P bass where i don't miss the preamp...I like the midrange throatiness... supported by a big bottom.. I dont have any R&B gigs this week to really run it out though.. I am leaving the rounds on it too.

man... I've been cheking those alleva coppolo for long time now... and you know what caught my eyes the most ?

That's a NICE piece of Indian Rosewood! I'd be happy you stuck with it! That is exactly the FB I requested for my LG5 on order. Awesome.

yes its a nice piece of Indian on the kbp5, .. its dark and tight grained,, some slight red in it.. just a little in bright light..
My Kbp4 is African and more red as is the re-necked jazz bass.they are both African rosewood..
