Club Alleva Coppolo (part 2)

I still have the strings Jimmy put on the bass. I'm not sure
what they are. They have different color windings on the
ball end of the string. Anyone know what they are?
I might put my favorite strings on soon... DR Sunbeams.
I took some pics of my LM5 this moring. They turned
out kind of blue.

I love the way the DR flats feel I just like the tone of the Labellas better. Heres a few pics of my LG-5:

And the similarities between my current bass and the KBP-5 I have on order and Dan Knowlton's choices in AC basses are merely coincidental.

I need you to take some pics of my Allevas.. what camera did you use? It has great color saturation..That one shot of yours on the floor is a calender shot!!! hey nice floors too!!!!!

I just love that harvest gold... sweet
Here's a nice picture of my buddy Jason (TBer Vision) playing my LM-5 at our Detroit GTG this afternoon. It (and he) sounded great, as did Mike's (Mikebass) LG-5.
Based on the color saturation, I'm goinna say that it was taken with a Panasonic DMC-LX1.

I wonder... I recently got two new digital cameras.. one is a Sony 8 megapixel then I also got a nice new cannon 10megapixel.. both are great but dont have the color saturation that an old Fuji 3megapixel that i still have... mmmm must be me .. Im great with an SLR and 35mm though..

.I've been taking pictures longer than I've been playing bass, mostly medium and large format. I bought the lumix for a walking around point and shoot because it offered the ability to shoot in RAW format and it sported a Leica lens.
It also took longer to set get the natural lighting set up than it did to shoot the pics and get them looking decent for the photobucket mandated resolution.
Thanks for noticing the floor. It was my first wood floor install.

I'm really happy to own a junky sadowsky metro as my 70s hifi slap and pop jazz. If I play the sadowsky for a couple days in a row, the alleva sounds even more vintage 60s. If I play the LG5 for a couple days, the metro sounds crazy modern.
They compliment each other perfectly. At least until I can score an Ash/Maple AC.
...gotta love "beaters".

Just a great sounding bass.
Alleva does it right somehow.
The best comparison is KJung's LM next to my LG.
By them selves they sound alike. But play them back to back- Big difference. But yet still retain a "common" voice.
I had DR Sunbeams on my LG since I got it...and I really liked them on this bass (45-125?). I decided to try Fodera nickels (45-120) and they sound and feel great too.
