thats the best of the best! i picked the body for that bass too while helping jimmy weight all the blank bodies.

Yes it is the same bass. I replace the pickup guard and knobs for white. This is my main bass that I play at my church. it just amazing how it sounds and feels.

No wonder it just feels so comfortable to play. What strings did you used to use on it?
yup im always inspired by tobias neck ! skinny as f! always used labella rx nickle the lightest one they have so its easier to play
honestly i asked for a john mayer pink like lighter pink

I am the very lucky owner of a 2008 (NYC-era) LG5. I am almost totally satisfied with the bass with one exception - the pickups are quiet when both are engaged fully but there is noticeable buzzing when one is favored, even when the blend knob is just slightly off of center. Is this a feature of the bass (replicating vintage fender pickups) or should I look into getting the bass reshielded? Or perhaps a wire is loose somewhere? Or could m something else be an issue? Thank you in advance.

Are you saying that when both are on fully, they're quieter than either one solo'd?

You have a blend knob, not two volume knobs for each pup?
Just to make sure, are you talking about normal 60 cycle hum when one of two single coil J pups (that the LG5 has) is turned down compared to the other….?
That would account for what you describe and would be normal, depending on the actual type of noise.
I take it your bass has the typical 5 knob layout. If so, they are usually Volume,Volume, push/pull passive tone, active treble, active bass. But it sounds to me like you're describing a different layout, is that correct?
I’m sorry, I misspoke. There are separate volume knobs for each pickup, not a blend. I have been traveling and the bass I brought with me (not the AC) has a pickup blend so I mixed them up.
Well if the bass you are talking about has two knobs or even a blend, with single coil pups, then there will be a noise , buzz, or "hum" when favouring one pickup over another in terms of volume or blend. People use all three descriptions to describe the noise so its confusing to know whether its an abnormal noise or just normal 60 cycle hum from the way you are writing this. It will take 30 seconds to determine this if you bring it in person to a repair shop and they just plug it in.
