Vic was nice enough to let me know he was gonna part with his; and gave me the shot at a cash deal; which I opted not to roll with; instead, I posted mine for sale...
I bought mine used, but if I'd spec'd a new one, I woulda done it just like his.
I decided to let the fates which one I'd keep.
Looks like his sold; I'm happy to keep the one I have. It's an excellent bass.

Yeah, bittersweet for sure. 
IMHO(!!) Jimmy had a real "sweet spot" with the LM's and LG's during the NYC and "transitional" period where stuff was still pretty much all made to the same specs. Ken's NYC LM and my transitional LG are both stellar examples of what Jimmy can do when he's totally on his game.
The new owner should be extremely happy with this LG. Jimmy totally hit it out of the ballpark. The rosewood used for the board was REALLY old... like from the 50's or 60's, literally, and I got to have him pick from a large palette of the stuff, which is why mine is so dark... that's what I asked for. That is the natural color of the wood... that was not a "catch it quick while freshly oiled" shot. The alder used for the body wasn't quite as old, but still very old... probably from the 70's. Tone for days.
Anyway. It's now in the hands of someone who'll give it the love and regular airplay it deserves. Good stuff.

killer bass. still needs some adjusting but sounds like a KBP5! Not really diggin this new bridge but maybe I need to get used to it....

yeah but the angled thing causes the ball of the string to not totally fit right and it tugs the string out of alignment....

yeah....kinda annoying. I asked Jimmy for a tort pgaurd for it so I might just cop an old style bentplate bridge too....very happy to have another KBP5 and 2 ACs on my wall!

no it sucks. Not a fan of this bridge at all. Def gonna swap for an OG bentplate.
hahaha nice Pete....I actually got this a week ago but it showed up in perfect time. I was gonna play the first show with my Fodera and see how it goes, but I have a feeling I'm gonna end up using my LM5 (now RA5) or this guy. I just adjusted the truss a little as well as the pickup height....WOOO bass is slammin!! back to practicing teeny bopper tunes....
