Makes sense really. Seeing as I'm chasing a 'vintage jazz' type of tone rather than a Marcus like modern 'jazz on steroids' sort of thing. Whatever gets me that low growl will make me happy!.

Ill post some photos later.. I just got in from driving and im whooped.
I have to pull them off my iphone.. Make-A-Wish took many pics, but forwarded from the directors phone to mine and they are small. I will ask them to email some larger files for me ..
Hanging with Mike X and his wife was great.. He Brought his LG5 Nitro and I brought my LG5 dinky Prototype.
Houston News channel was there. so there is video somewhere.
I spoke with Jimmy for about an hour last night after the event. He wished he could have gone but circumstances did not permit that..
Freddy... Was Blown Away!!!!

I received the bass Friday just north of Austin. And was tempted to take it on my gig to make sure it was fine.:D:D It was. But , I know that if i played it, i would have dinged it.. So i was a good boy and left it home.. :D

This bass was planned for about 17 months.. Freddy was not doing well. He is in remission at this time.. And was a rally cool hang...

Mitch.. Its my NY accent.:eek::smug: Been in TX for 18 years now.. Still have the NY thing going on.. .. I do say YALL though.. HA

More of Freddy's Make A Wish bass. Just did these at my hotel room before i brought the bass to the event.

haha yeah you start saying "fixin" and you lose ALL new yorker cred! bass looks great though. Good thing you didn't gig with it first or it would have to be called a "road worn" Alleva! haha

Jimmy made it happen... Make A Wish Chapter in SOCAL contacted him through the TX and LA Chapter.. They asked him . he didn't hesitate.. just started to make the damn thing. The whole thing started about 18 months ago..

I was only the messenger.. But it was an honor to take part in this...
