My NYC bud Mike Merritt and I did some catching up...

Well you have to understand and get Leland.. He collects photos of himself giving and receiving The finger.. He will be putting out a coffee table book one day. .we spoke about it...
YoYo Ma, celebrities, politicians, regular folks. Ministers ect. all with the finger.. If you dont get it, you never will.. .

I can post a few dozen for you.but then i would have to photoshop each one...Its all in Fun...... and people love it.. If you go to NAMM he will take time with you to talk and pose if you wish .. I have no idea how he gets around NAMM since everyone asks him to stop and have a FINGER pose photo taken with him.. he is polite and patient with each person...
Quite a nice chap
But you can google them if you really needed to..

no need.I respect Lee obviously for his awesome playing... I dont know the man personally, just from the interviews and he was utterly funny and clever. I didnt like that pic with people around him and his mid finger up,thats all. If thats some part of "concept" or joke,OK... not that I am being saint here...:bassist:

Yeah sort of.. But you would have to know him him to get him..
The photo that you speak of is with Jimmy from Alleva Coppolo and the Doctor VET that runs the foundation for Animal Holistic Medicine.. He has saved the lives of numerous dogs..All Proceeds from the Bassacre go to the foundation.. $5000+ custom Alleva Coppolo bass included.
Leland happened to be a very generous donor to the cause.
Here is a pic of them before someone asked him to do his " classic Pose"

He is not really a gearhead.. But more of a human that cares about other humans and animals And would drive his pickup truck across a state to help abandoned animals in need. Quite a spectacular person.

hahah thats all natural road rash... Its been out for about 10 years now.. all over the USA and Europe... and i almost never need to touch the truss rod.. Love that bass
