I saw Stevie play last night,Great show!

But.............

No Alleva???? Celinder I think? Can someone say for sure?

I saw him on Wednesday night at Jones Beach he used that mystery bass along with his Silver Alleva. He also played allot of synth bass bass during our show.

What a great concert, unfortunately I think I saw the first night of the show and the sound was terrible all drums and bass. No guitar, no keys, the bass sounded woofy and when his daughter sang lead you couldn't hear her.

I'd love to know what that other bass was.. EDIT GOT IT BOSSA

Does that mean what I think it means? Tom? Did you unload your glorious Alleva yet? :hiding:

Unfortunately yes on both counts. I had to sell all the basses I acquired during my marriage. She would not accept the cash equivalent. It seems that the knife alone was not enough, she wanted to twist it a few times once she stuck it in there...I am sick about it, but hey thats life. Someone is getting a GREAT bunch of guitars and basses and I am giving the bulk of the proceeds to a woman I thought could do no wrong for 23 years....Things change I guess! It could be worse, my health is better and my attitude about life could not be better! I am looking forward to the next phase of life with great interest and expectation. I am heading over to the Olympics at the end of July and my studio buddies and I are finally doing an Album of our own with a few originals and some classics in August so I have a lot to look forward to....Thanks!

:D

Peace,

T

Yes..... I was trying to lay low on it untill I had it and could show a whole new set of Pics sans attack kitty.

If anyone remembers a while back I was showing pics of a Ice tea burst body and asking about the fours necks............

Well Toms Bass came up for sale at exactly the same time the Ice tea did.No-brainer for me and Jimmy was very understanding.

Come to Papa....

LOL...Sorry to spill it but I couldn't hold it anymore! I have gotten about 8 PMs from people who saw my Sadowsky sale thread and I figured this might quell the interest a bit. Enjoy her in good health! I know she is going to great home and that makes me feel really good about selling her to someone here on TB. I know you can appreciate just what she is and will love her as much as I have!

BTW - For all the rest of you knuckleheads, I already asked for first dibs but I can't buy her back for about a year so assuming he keeps her for that long I get the first crack at her if she comes back on the market, OK?

:D

Peace,

T

Dude, I honestly feel really sorry for you. Women can be you-know-whats at times. Selling all that gear. Couldn't be a little more compassionate, couldn't she?
I hope something like this never happens to me when I'm older and am married. I'm probably going to be a gear whore too. Good luck!

Just got my AC (sonic blue, dalbergia negra standard 4, mint pg; see earlier thread or pics from Jimmy)!

This is one heck of an instrument. I just put it down after about 2 hours and I feel like picking it right back up again. I haven't even plugged it into my real rig, but it sounds pretty great through my practice amp (Ashdown combo). The first few thoughts in my head after playing it, honestly, were--what other basses of mine should I sell? (not sure if I will, but at least it's got me thinking, and I have a pretty nice stable of instruments if you check my profile!)

I'm very glad I went for the dalbergia--I'm not sure why, I just am. The bass feels, plays, and sounds right. Plus, sonic blue with mint is a great color combo in person. Nice retro vibe.

Tommixx I feel for you.. your ex's name isnt Lisa is it?:help::)
I have bad luck with women with the letter "L" in their names.
Like i said .. its only a matter of time before all women go crazy.. It will always happen.. my crazy ex got the house, car, pool dog ect...

No contact for 7 months, then out of the blue she and her lawyer email me the other day, no phone call mind you....just to see if i would do a deposition for her in a court case that we had going where she will win over a million $$.. Its a wrongful termination case.. long story... by the way no mention of me getting a dime....but when i told her i "cant recall" the things she needs me to "recall" and i dont care to do it anyway.. she deleted me from her myspace.. ouch that hurt so bad :smug:... hahaha yup thats my ex..
evil self centered wench... lol:confused:
tommixx,, it will all work out dude

Hmmm...not sure I'll agree with that one...

My wife is completely sane, in her mid 40's and gorgeous...

tommixx - sorry to hear about your situation. Some folks get off on hurting others, I really feel bad for you but it seems you have the right attitude. You've got a lot of good stuff coming brother...hang in there!

mine too.. great looking.. late 40s though.. just wait..:) im glad i can have a sense of humor about it now..

Thanks guys! I am keeping my head up no matter what she does. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger and I have survived this long by letting stuff roll off of me. I keep my head up and my groove on! I will not let somebody else determine my outlook on life. I got my daughter out of the relationship and I would do it all over again 1,000,000,000 times over if I got my daughter out of the deal. She is what makes all those years worth it. I hope that someone can see this and realize that it is always about perspective. Keep the right perspective on things and it will get you through the toughest times of your life! I have had some hard times in my life and I am sure that I have more to come but I'd like to think that my perspective keeps me grounded and keeps me sane...Thanks again and God Bless you all!

Peace,

T

Mitch,

Any update on the RA5?

Hey Bernie, my RA is now pushing into sept.

On another note ,I've just arrived back from NY after a 5 day trip and met up with Jimmy at the shop on Fri...he's almost all packed up and just about close the doors but still had some great looking basses on the bench. He showed me some pics of the new space in Cal which looks roomier and prob much more user friendly for him. I liked the NY shop..lots of character and vibe in a great location but I wish him well and I'm sure all that new space will be used well ramping up production.

she deleted me from her myspace.. ouch that hurt so bad

Kirk, Now THAT truly is the last straw! ROFL.

I've been out of the loop for 3 days since my band was doing a gig in Huntsville, Alabama. But it's nice to see that some great basses are staying inside the club!
I wish I would have had the opportunity to visit the NYC shop before the move but I'm glad that AC's continual growth has given Jimmy the ability to expand.

Good Stuff
